That which has the state of intervening is called that. Here, destruction is caused by looking at the aggregates of destruction. Birth arises from ignorance, karma, and craving. Death is partly due to the exhaustion of karma, partly due to the exhaustion of life, and partly due to not abandoning fear; these three aspects should be understood. The Buddha himself eliminates all these for sentient beings. All that is called transcendence of the world, etc., is a distinction of nirvana. Among them, what is called transcendence of the world is because in the realm of nirvana without remainder, the world is completely separated by the exhaustion of the world. Even with the remainder of the aggregates, it is transcendent of the world because it is not to be known by the mind of worldly people, but that is not included here, because it is gathered by the Buddha himself. What is called mere name is separated from the thing itself, because the sutra says that these five are mere names, namely, the past, the future, nirvana, the unanalyzed cessation, and the person. Peace is because there is no harm of samsara. Not being timid is because there is no fear or dread of it. Not aging is because it is inexhaustible. Being without fault is because it is constant; may you attain such a state of nirvana without remainder, this is the concluding statement.
