So. This is the final word, called the precious and beneficial instruction. What is it? It is said, "Please tame your mind," which means please lift your mind from the place of non-virtue and place it in virtue. Why? The Blessed One said: The mind is the root of the Dharma. This was said. "Ni" means "for what reason." For what reason did the Blessed One say that the root of all virtuous Dharmas is the mind? Therefore, you should tame your mind, because it is said in the scriptures: The mind precedes all Dharmas. Therefore, in summary, if the mind is very joyful, then all happiness will be obtained, and if the mind is very disturbed, then all suffering will be obtained. What are these instructions that were given to you? Like this, it is shown by "What are these instructions that were given to you?" and so on. Even if all the Dharmas that I have taught are practiced, they will not cause the teachings of the Tathagata to remain. However, even if one part is practiced, it will remain. Like this, all of these are difficult to accomplish even for monks who have completely abandoned their household life, let alone for householders. Therefore, among these teachings, show and practice the qualities of those who are capable, and make life meaningful. In this way, it will become the cause for obtaining all Dharmas, that is what is thought. Having made the mind happy by teaching the Dharma in this way, wanting to introduce them to the Mahayana, he said, "Rejoicing in all the virtues of all," and so on. All the virtues in the world, whether slightly tainted or untainted, and all the worldly and transmundane virtues, how the perfect Buddhas have understood them, in the same way, I also rejoice without comparison. Expressing it in words like this, one should rejoice, and with this root of virtue, may I become the protector of the helpless, the refuge of the defenseless, the friend of the friendless, the place of the homeless, the Buddha.

May you become like that! The three practices that you have skillfully practiced are completely dedicated to attaining Buddhahood. Then rejoice, and with this accumulation of merit arising from the complete dedication, may you have immeasurable life. It will be explained in conjunction with this. How is it known in what order? As it says, "In immeasurable births," and so on, accomplishing in immeasurable births. What is accomplished? As it says, "Controlling the yoga of gods and humans, all the worlds," that is, in all places of the realm of gods and the realm of humans, becoming the master of yoga, and with the great nature of the Bodhisattva's samadhi, attaining the mastery of the three realms. Furthermore, "With the conduct of the noble Avalokiteśvara, rescuing many suffering beings," just as the Blessed One, the noble Avalokiteśvara, with a heart moistened by compassion, rescued many sentient beings from lions, elephants, snakes, fire, thieves, bonds, water, kings, and so on, in the same way, may you also rescue suffering beings in the same way. Therefore, here the former speaks of the complete ripening of the Dharma of the Buddha, and the latter speaks of the complete ripening of sentient beings. Thus, having perfected the accumulation of merit, being born in the last existence, completely abandoning diseases and other phenomena, become the protector of the beings of the world. Where? How will the Buddha-field be completely purified? What kind of special qualities will it have? Immeasurable life, like the Blessed One Amitabha in Sukhavati, may you become a Buddha, this is the concluding remark. Or, eliminating diseases and so on, and purifying the Buddha-field, having purified it in this way, be born in that Buddha-field, and become the protector in the last existence. Wisdom, discipline, and so on, are spoken of in this way: Having attained Buddhahood in this way, accomplishing the meaning of immeasurable sentient beings in due time, attaining complete Nirvana through the complete Nirvana of the Buddha.

It should show "benefit" and so on. Connect wisdom, discipline, generosity, origin, great fame, etc. Like this, the Bhagavan is perfect wisdom, possessing the wisdom of discernment. Like this, he is perfect discipline, possessing the qualities of non-degradation, etc., possessing the unsurpassed aggregate of discipline. Like this, the Bhagavan is perfect generosity, giving everything away. Like this, with a joyful mind, for beings who love merit, with a joyful mind, make the great fame grow and spread. Saying "immaculate" is to show that the merits are unparalleled. And where does it expand? The answer is: in the heavenly realm above, in the middle of the sky, on the earth in the human world. Furthermore, the people on the earth of the human world and the gods in the high heavens must make them completely peaceful. This is to be connected. What kind of difference is there? It is the best young people, it is the joy of happiness. The best young people rejoice with the joy of happiness, therefore they rejoice. Like this, making the intoxicated people and gods also completely peaceful, this is placing them on discipline and so on. Saying "certainly" is to show that it is placed on the holy Dharma. Therefore, gods and humans are mentioned, because they are the vessels of the holy Dharma. If it were not so, the Asuras would also rejoice with the joy of happiness of the best young people. Like this, in the world, great fame is also expanded, and the benefit of gods and humans is also done. Pacifying the fear of afflicted and suffering beings, pacifying death and obtaining the first fruit of the Victorious One. This should be understood first, here the order of the words is, having obtained such a king of the Victorious Ones, great fame is also expanded, and the gods and humans are also made completely peaceful, making them attain Nirvana. The so-called "affliction and suffering" refers to beings tormented by afflictions. Destruction, birth, and death are fear and death, for whom these are pacified.
