As for the time, it is called "time." What is called "faculty" is the warm season. What is called "peak" is the last arising after warmth. Meditating on the five faculties is because it is preceded by abandoning pride, in order to show the abandonment of pride. Mentioning "old age, sickness, death, separation," etc., thinking like this: I have not transcended these three laws of sickness, old age, and death, and similarly, I have not transcended suffering and separation, nor have I transcended karma as being mine. Thinking like this is because it is an antidote, therefore the pride of the antidote will be destroyed, this is its summary. Among them, "karma as being mine" means that according to karma, happiness and suffering will arise. The rest is easy to understand. "If you desire heaven and liberation," etc., this is explaining the cause of arising faculties such as faith. "Please get used to right view," among them, right view refers to believing that good and bad deeds in the next life will produce results, that is, believing that there is a next life. If there is no such right view, then even if you do some good deeds such as giving, they will all "have unpleasant ripening," meaning that they will all become unpleasant ripening. Therefore, right view is the cause of arising all good roots, this is the explanation. Now, "people are truly not happy," etc., this is explaining the reason for aversion. "Unhappy" is a synonym for unhappy. "Impermanent" means momentary. "Selflessness" means without an inner author. "Impure" is a synonym for having the impurity of swelling and decay. If you observe people with correct wisdom, it is like this. Those who do not abide in mindfulness will cling to things upside down. So what is the fault? It is mentioned that "those who do not abide in mindfulness will produce four inverted views." The four inversions refer to clinging to happiness in suffering.

The inverted perception and inverted mind of perceiving impurity as pure, and inverted views. Similarly, the inverted perception of thinking of impermanence as permanence, thinking of selflessness as self, and thinking of impurity as purity, and inverted mind, and inverted views. Seeing with inverted views is the cause of falling into bad destinies and samsara. Like a broken container. Therefore, you should recognize that humans are suffering. If one recognizes unpleasantness, impermanence, and impurity, one cannot realize selflessness. If there is no "I", then who will bear the fruits of good and non-good deeds? If you think like this, (the Buddha) said that form is not self, and mentioned concepts such as "I". This is what is said: If there is an "I", then the nature of things like form is either the same or different. However, the nature of things like form is not "I". (The Buddha) said that form is not self, and even consciousness is not self. This denies that the "I" mentioned in the sutras is the nature of things like form. What is the reason for this? The "I" is not the nature of things like form, because if the "I" is the same as things like form, then the "I" will also be impermanent like things like form. If the "I" is different from things like form, then there are three situations: either the "I" possesses things like form like Devadatta possesses a cow; or the "I" abides in things like form like Devadatta sits on a chair; or things like form rely on the "I" like vines and kudzu rely on the earth. To answer these questions, (the sutra) mentions in order whether the "I" is in accordance with things like form. This is the sutra first. Now to explain the reason: If the "I" has dominion over things like form, just as Devadatta dominates the cow for plowing and milking, then the "I" should be able to abandon or take things like form at will. However, we see that things like form perish even when the "I" does not want them to. How can it be said that the "I" possesses them? On the other hand,

Secondly, how should it be said that these forms and so on exist? For non-form dharmas, it is not possible to abide above and below, like Devadatta sitting on a chair. Because, the self that appears to abide in those things does not benefit the forms and so on in the slightest, nor do the forms and so on benefit it in the slightest. Or, it drives them to enter by riding on them, like riding on a horse. If it is said to be like riding a horse, that is also not right. Because, even if one does not wish, one can see entering and retreating. It is impossible for me to wish for forms and so on to enter and retreat. The reasoning for the third aspect is: beds and so on rely on the ground, because relying on it, one can see the arising, abiding, and increasing of forms and so on. The arising and so on of forms and so on do not depend on me in that way, because even without me, one can see external forms and so on. Some people think that, like grass and other living things, salt and so on are uncertain. Thus, each of the five aggregates has four aspects, so it is said that there are twenty kinds of views of the aggregates. By destroying the twenty high peaks of the mountain of views of the aggregates with the vajra of wisdom, one will obtain the fruit of entering the stream. Now, in order to show the cause of the arising of things by completely abandoning incompatible causes and causelessness, it is said that the aggregates are not born from Isvara and so on. Isvara means heaven-sent. Time means that the chronologists consider the cause of the arising and destruction of all dharmas to be a single, constant, pervasive dharma, which they fabricate. As it is said: "Time ripens all beings, time destroys all beings, time sleeps and awakens, time is difficult to overcome." It is like this saying. Nature is also considered by the Samkhyas to be the cause of the arising of all dharmas, a single, constant, pervasive fabrication of the unity of the three natures of courage, dust, and darkness. Nature is the object of the self of dharma, a synonym for "one's own nature." Freedom
