It is not so. Taking on the responsibility of entering the holy path, adorning oneself with the virtues of contentment and few desires. One will not become very tired with the affairs of the monastic robe. With this pure faith, one makes offerings as to a teacher. Therefore, for this monastic robe and so on, respectfully cause it to increase. The so-called "felt-wearer" refers to unspun wool material, which is known in the world as felt. Because of the preceding vow, having this behavior of wearing felt, therefore one is called a felt-wearer. Its very essence is the felt-wearer itself. That is, the virtues of completely abandoning are clothes made from collected wool. Because of contentment without thread, from the desire for the good, there is no affliction from seeking it. Clothes are abandoning the good, shining and beautiful by wearing simple attire. An extremely peaceful and joyful monk is beautiful like a teacher. When dwelling in a cemetery without shelter, and under trees, relying on it eliminates rain, heat, cold, and so on. With this, one will not be harmed by the touch of attachment to good things. The amount of activity, whether much or little, will not diminish due to one's own benefit and contentment. The so-called "dwelling in accordance with reality" refers to the fact that, because of the preceding vow, one has this behavior of dwelling in accordance with reality, therefore one is called dwelling in accordance with reality. That is, one is satisfied with whatever bedding is obtained, wherever and however, and completely abandons the attachment to fine bedding occupied by newly acquired bedding. Because one is content with bedding laid out in accordance with reality, therefore diligence in discipline is very beautiful. A new monk, for bedding, guards the place of comfort. Even sitting on inferior bedding, one is not close to good things. It will not become a source of harm from the side of attachment and aversion. Because of attachment to bedding, mutually enticing, one's own affairs will not diminish, and even if separated, the sky will not move. Or lying on grass or on the ground, the happiness arising from the ground of reality, even on top of a shining jewel palace, what use is it to a mind without contentment? The so-called "dweller in a charnel ground" refers to the fact that, because of the preceding vow, one has this behavior of dwelling in a charnel ground, therefore one is called a dweller in a charnel ground. Because its very nature is, therefore it is the dweller in a charnel ground itself. Its

Regarding the benefits: By constantly remembering death in the charnel ground, one will not become unrestrained due to sorrow. Upon seeing various impure signs, attachment to desirable objects will not increase. Here, non-humans will become respectful, attachment to life will decrease, and by relying on these, arrogance will be abandoned, and thus one will obtain many Dharmas. The mind is directed towards peace, therefore one will not care about one's own life, comfort, and body. Because one dwells there, even in the face of the terror of venomous snakes and non-humans, one will not be afraid due to cowardice. The term "Dweller at the Foot of a Tree" refers to the state of abandoning places bound by vows and dwelling at the foot of a tree, hence called a Dweller at the Foot of a Tree. Its essence is the Dweller at the Foot of a Tree itself. The merits of vowing there are: Wherever one dwells at the foot of a good tree, one will possess comfortable bedding and a joyful mind. One can go anywhere without hindrance, that is the path of perfect Dharma. The Dharma will also increase, and one will repel the arrogance of demonic forces. His mind is focused on meditation, and the monk will not lose happiness. It is easy to obtain what is needed, and few possessions are needed, similar to being free from noise, suffering, and obscurations, and one's own dwelling has great merits, who would not like to dwell at the foot of a tree? When new leaves emerge, change color, and are blown away by the wind, the tree is like showing the impermanence of things to the one who diligently keeps vows and dwells at its roots. The term "Unsheltered One" refers to the monastic community bound by vows, abandoning places such as the foot of a tree, having the opportunity to dwell anywhere, the state of dwelling in an unsheltered place, hence called an Unsheltered One. The nature of the Unsheltered One is the Unsheltered One itself. The merits of taking it up properly are: There is no need to seek, protect, or mix bedding, it is not a place for complete lying down, one vows to practice in an unsheltered place, and it is very beautiful because there is no noise. One can freely go anywhere like a wild animal, one will possess the supreme merit of contentment, the mind is liberated from the noise of dwellings, and it is in accordance with little sleep and mindfulness.
