So, what is in accordance with the Dharma? It is the reason for going to the city of omniscience that one wishes to proclaim. Some, due to ignorance, disrespect such a supreme path of the holy Dharma, belittle it, and with a contemptuous mind, think that this is not the Dharma, thereby completely abandoning it and departing. Where do they go? They go to the deviated paths like the path of cattle. The path of cattle, which is the essence of deviated paths. In those places, it is said like this: For example, when the lead cow of a herd of cattle goes astray, the others also follow because they do not know what is good or bad. Similarly, these non-Buddhist animals, not respecting the path of the Dharma, but with the essence of the non-Dharma deviated path characterized by physical suffering and so on, proceed with the thought of liberation from the suffering of samsara. Where do they enter, and where do they go? They go to the wilderness of samsara. Samsara is the state of revolving, that is, the collection of aggregates going from one place to another. There is nothing other than those called samsara, it is precisely those aggregates that are revolving, so it is said like that, for example, like saying the blackness of a crow and the whiteness of a water bird. That itself is the wilderness, filled with birds, wild animals, grass, and trees, and is the place abandoned by holy beings, which is called the wilderness. That is also filled with unwholesome friends, such as birds, wild animals, grass, and trees, and is separated from virtuous friends. That wilderness is unbearable and difficult to traverse because of the many sufferings of sentient beings, hells, and so on. "In the forest of limitless beings," this phrase is to explain what is in accordance with the Dharma. Those who are both beings and limitless, this is a contraction of words, because numbers and measures cannot exhaust them, so they are limitless. Wherever those trees are, that place is called a forest. Those who are separated from the holy Dharma and are immersed in the thicket of evil views, and the places where they dwell, are like trees, because they are separated from the mind of the holy Dharma, so it is said like that. Attachment and other afflictions disturb the continuum of body and mind, so they are called afflictions.

Harming oneself is malicious. The body that is entwined is the body of entanglement. Because there is no autonomy over afflictions and near afflictions, it will enter extremely long, named boundless, which means complete entry. From "not killing" to "loving-kindness," the brief explanation of the nature of Dharma that goes against and with the flow, the opposite of which is killing, etc. The maturation of those is unpleasant. Therefore, if those similar to them are shown, then those will be shown in detail. Therefore, first, "by killing," etc., shows the fruit corresponding to the cause, similar to the cause, killing with the nature of explanation. Because this has a short life, it is a short life. In the world realm, how long the life is said to be, all that time cannot be obtained. Why? Because how much this kills the lives of others, that much others will kill lives. To this, cutting with knives, etc., is harmful to the body, that is, it is harmful and also many, is a summary of words. Stealing is taking without being given. Constantly practicing this will lead to poverty of enjoyment. Because it is to be enjoyed, it is enjoyment, that is, wealth and food, etc. Being impoverished by those is being busy and declining. This has those, so it is the meaning of having. Robbing another's wife is doing despicable things. Living with enemies is living with enemies. Whoever makes his wife his own, acts displeasingly to him, so he is an enemy. Just as this makes others enemies, so it will happen to this, so it is a fruit similar to the cause. Thus, after explaining the corresponding fruit of the cause of the sins of the body, "by lying is slander," etc., shows the sins of speech. Slander is telling the true meaning as false. Who will become like that? That is lying. Understanding the meaning with words that transform understanding into others is lying. Divisive speech is for separating others, speaking afflicted language, therefore it will separate and break apart friends who want to benefit. Harsh speech is without gentleness.
