If these two were true, then when truth is seen, these two would also exist, but in reality, they are not. Therefore, these are false. Having thus shown that these, which are the cause of samsara, are not true, now, by means of "from self-grasping" and so on, it is shown that the aggregates that arise from that are not true. Those things that arise and originate from self-grasping are called those. The aggregates are five: form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness. In reality, according to the previously stated reasoning, it is the ultimate truth. False is unreal. Seed is the cause. Birth is arising. Where, according to the above-mentioned reasoning, it is completely non-existent. The aggregates are its objects, and because those do not exist, it will also be abandoned, therefore, because there is no cause, there will be no result later, that is the meaning. It is said that previously, relying on the aggregates produced by self-grasping, self-grasping would arise again, but because it does not exist, those will not arise again. In order to show that this reason is established by valid cognition, "how" and so on are mentioned. However, it refers to existence. It is said that whatever arises dependently is false in the ultimate truth, because it arises dependently, it is like an image. Whatever is true is not dependently arisen, for example, the realm of activity of the noble ones, like suchness. In order to merely say that all phenomena are without self, the example is used to establish it, not emptiness. Just as an image is false, self-grasping is also the same, it is shown by the concluding verse. In "such," etc., "such" is like what was just said, meaning to completely abandon the unreal. For the dharmas, the eye is seeing the truth. Repeatedly said, that is, said again and again. As long as there is clinging to the aggregates, etc., it shows that, like a sea monster clinging to a bed.

Grasping and manifest clinging, because it is the cause of the aggregates. Grasping at the aggregates, from that comes self-grasping. If there is self-grasping, then there is karma. From that comes birth, that is, the three characteristics of self-grasping, karma, and birth. In order to make it continuous, it is the path. Because there are three kinds of paths here, it is the three paths. Whatever has no beginning, no end, and no middle is called that. What are beginning, end, and middle? There is another, and there is nothing earlier than it, that is the beginning. There is another, and there is nothing later than it, that is the later end. The space between the two is the middle. Samsara itself is a mandala, so it is the mandala of samsara. What is the dharma that is in accordance with this mandala? It is complete samsara. A firebrand is a piece of wood that is half burned. Because it is similar to that, it is like that, that is, the same as that. This is said like this: Just as a rotating firebrand does not actually rotate, but due to confusion, it is seen as a circle. This mandala of samsara is also like that, it does not actually exist, but because the eye of wisdom is closed and falls into evil views, it is seen. From here, it is the mandala of samsara. Relying on the aggregates, from that comes self-grasping, relying on self-grasping, the aggregates arise, thus mutually causing each other, revolving in the five realms of existence. How is this mandala of samsara like the mandala of a firebrand? The following verses explain the relationship between oneself and others. Because it does not arise from itself, it is not obtained from itself. Because it did not exist before, things do not exist, and it is contradictory for oneself to act on oneself. It is also not from another, because that is not the cause. How is it not the cause? Like this, the cause itself depends on the effect, so as long as the effect has not arisen, it is not the cause. When it is not the cause, it will not produce the effect, just like before. It is also not from both, because it would fall into the fault of arguing against both sides. The word 'and' is saṃgraha The three times themselves are the three times. The word 'also' is the possibility of not obtaining, that is, existence. How is it not obtained in the three times? Like this
