Consciousness will cease to turn. Why is it that not knowing is consciousness? All that arises in the past, Because of knowing, in consciousness, Later, it will cease in this way. Consciousness is the firewood of fire, All these phenomena of going should be like this, Like that, truly and well distinguished, Burned with light and pacified. Not knowing is first considered, Later, it is determined, When things cannot be found, How can non-things exist at that time? The thing of form is only a name, Space is also only a name, How can there be form without arising? Therefore, it is also only a name. Feeling, thought, formation, And consciousness, like the arising of things, Should be thought of as self, Therefore, the six elements are without self. The first chapter of the Precious Garland, which shows the higher life and the definite goodness, is finished. Just as water and tree branches, If they are all destroyed without remainder, So it is with a person, If the elements are destroyed, it is the same. All phenomena are without self, Therefore, the victors say so, All six elements are without self, It has been decided for you. Thus, in self and without self, There is no object of focus as it is, The views of self and without self, Therefore, the Great Sage prevents them. Seeing and hearing, etc., the Sage said, Not true, not false, but declared, If one side changes from one direction, Neither of them is the real meaning. Therefore, in terms of the ultimate truth, This world is beyond truth and falsehood. Therefore, the nature of reality, Does not say it is, does not say it is not. If there is such in everything, Not having that is all-knowing, Having an end, without an end, and both, Also not both, as it is said. The countless Buddhas who have passed away, Those who have come and those who are now dwelling, The sentient beings at the edge are born in three times, Hundreds of millions of them also desire, There is no cause for the growth of the world, Exhaustion should also exist in three times, How can the all-knowing one, Not make such a prediction in the future? Secret only to ordinary beings, If there is, that is the profound Dharma, The world is like an illusion, The Buddha's teachings are nectar. Just like on the illusory elephant, Although birth and destruction appear, But on that, in reality, There is no birth and destruction

Thus, in the illusory world, although birth and death appear, in the ultimate sense, birth and death do not exist. Like an illusory elephant, from where does it come, where does it go? It is merely a delusion of the mind, therefore it has no real existence. Likewise, the illusory world, from where does it come, where does it go? It is merely a delusion of the mind, therefore it has no real existence. Thus, the nature of the three times past, apart from mere imputation, what exists or becomes non-existent? What is the real meaning of the world? The Buddha, based on this cause, the four possibilities of having an end and not having an end, being two and not being two, did not prophesy, not from other causes. For now, this body is impure, coarse and an object of obvious perception, when it is constantly apparent, if it does not abide in the mind, then the sacred Dharma has no place, the subtle is not obvious, how can that profound Dharma be understood? How can it easily arise in the mind? Because this Dharma is profound, it is difficult for beings to understand, the Buddha understood this, therefore the capable Buddha turned away from teaching the Dharma. If this Dharma is understood perversely, even the unwise will be harmed. Thus, holding the view of non-existence, one will sink into impurity. Furthermore, holding that perverse view, foolish and arrogant with the pride of the wise, with a nature of violence due to abandonment, one will go to the uninterrupted hell. Just as eating bad food turns into harm, and eating good food increases life, health, strength and happiness, likewise, holding wrong views will bring harm, and knowing well will bring happiness and unsurpassed enlightenment. Therefore, in this, having abandoned annihilation and the view of non-existence, in order to accomplish all meanings, one should diligently strive for right view. If this Dharma is not fully understood, then clinging to self will follow. From that arise virtuous and non-virtuous actions, from that arise good and bad rebirths. Therefore, as long as this Dharma that eliminates clinging to self is not understood, then be respectful to the Dharma of generosity, discipline and patience. First abandoning Dharma in actions, in the middle possessing Dharma, and finally also, the landowner who practices Dharma will not be harmed in this and other lives. By Dharma here
