It does not cause it to diminish. Similarly, due to the power of time, begging for alms, it does not cause the faith of others to diminish. One should always bear it with honesty, it is called should be borne, and the person who is the benefactor does not exist either, here it is not a combination, bearing it will lead to falling, like that son who is borne, so is the benefactor. The yogi gradually dedicates all the daylight, and the first seat of the night and the other seat as well, with mindfulness he lies down on the previous seat, and at the time of sleep he should not do it without meaning. When this world is burned by the fire of time, who is suitable to sleep all night? Those who can destroy those who are equal to the enemy of afflictions, if they dwell in the heart, who can fall asleep? Therefore, just as black snakes lie dormant in the house, the poisonous snakes of sins in the mind, those who are well dormant, should be shown with reason and foot medicine, other than this, falling asleep is truly shameful. Shame itself is adornment, and it is also the supreme garment, shame is the iron hook on the crooked path, if one has shame, then one should enter, and cut off with the merit of completely abandoning shame. If there is a man who has shame, then that person's shame is it, those who have no discernment between meaningful and meaningless things, those who are extremely inferior due to shame are no different from animals. In any case, even if the limbs and hands are cut off by a sword, one should not create sins with the mind, those who are not peaceful should not speak, my words are an obstacle between you. There is no asceticism equal to patience, whoever has patience, he has strength and stability, those who cannot tolerate the rudeness of others, they are not the conduct of those who practice the Dharma, they cannot be liberated. It is the destroyer of the Dharma and the destroyer of fame, it is the enemy of the body and also the fire of the heart, anger does not give any opportunity, there is no other such enemy of merit. Like the fire of lightning that arises from completely cool water, so anger is contrary to the renunciate, so it is not contrary to the householder's man, those who are attached do not vow to this. Beautiful hair is...

When arrogance touches the head, And seeing the changed robes and alms bowl, Constantly contemplating the inferior conduct compared to others, The arrogance born in the heart should be completely abandoned. Even for those who rely on household and possess pride, It is to destroy the increase of their arrogance, Those who fully understand themselves by eating alms, Are the shaved-headed ones who aim for liberation. Deceit and Dharma are incompatible, Therefore, crookedness should not be approached. Deceit and illusion mean deception, There is no deception before those who are of the nature of Dharma. Suffering arises from vastness, It does not arise from wanting little, so be separated from it. Therefore, one should cultivate wanting little, What else completes the qualities? He is not afraid of views of stinginess, He is not even slightly afraid of any of the senses, Having heard, he does not grieve, saying there is nothing, Whoever wants little, that is not his liberation. If you want to be liberated, cultivate contentment, With contentment, there is happiness here, this is Dharma. Contented ones sleep peacefully even on the ground, The discontented are burned even in the heavens. Even if rich, those who are not content are always poor, Even if poor, those who have contentment are always rich. Those who are not content are separated from painful places, Contented ones have compassion for beings who are weary. Those who wish to obtain the supreme bliss of peace, Should not become those who rejoice in gatherings. For the sake of solitary wandering in the nature of peace, Even gods like Indra desire it in the world. Attachment is the dwelling tree of suffering, Abandon attachment to one's own relatives or to birth. Attachment increases suffering in the world, Like two drinkers becoming attached as if sinking in a swamp. Although the constant flowing stream of water is soft, It can pierce the stone wall in time. There is nothing difficult to achieve with diligence, Therefore, do not abandon burdens, be patient. Whoever rests again and again while drilling wood, It is not easy to find fire in that wood.

Through diligent effort, attainment becomes easy; therefore, if there is diligence, actions are surely accomplished. If there is mindfulness, faults will not arise; there is no friend like mindfulness, nor a better protector. From the loss of mindfulness, everything is ruined; therefore, one should not abandon the mindfulness that dwells in the body. Just as warriors, having donned their armor, fearlessly enter the enemy's ranks, so too, having adorned the body with the armor of mindfulness, the steadfast engage in the battles of the world. The mind and intellect in equipoise are fully tamed, knowing the arising and ceasing of the world; therefore, one should fully engage in samadhi. A mind that has attained samadhi has no mental afflictions. To gather scattered water, one strives to dig wells and ponds; likewise, for the sake of the abiding of the water of wisdom, samadhi is taught to be like wells and ponds. Those who possess wisdom, who fully grasp and let go, for those who are deeply devoted to this Dharma, there is liberation in abiding; the opposite of this is neither a householder nor a monastic. Wisdom is joy, and a boat to cross the great ocean of death; like a lamp in the darkness of ignorance, it is the medicine that destroys all inner afflictions, and the sharp weapon that fells the tree of disturbing emotions. Therefore, one should engage in increasing wisdom through hearing, contemplation, and meditation. Whoever has the eye of wisdom to see their own nature, even without physical eyes, is truly endowed with sight. Through the proliferations that move in the mind, even having abandoned the household life, one is not liberated. Those who desire to attain supreme peace should understand this and become free from proliferation. Therefore, cherish mindfulness like a guru, and completely abandon heedlessness like an enemy. From mindfulness, one obtains the glory of Indra; from heedlessness, the pride of the Asuras is completely destroyed. Whatever the teacher, who is endowed with benefit, love, and compassion, does with great compassion, I have done and completely bound, may your minds be accomplished through peace. If the mountain...
