The sun has moved from its place, the gods of wealth have gone to the earth, and a hundred lords have passed away; nothing is permanent. Other perfectly enlightened Buddhas, after showing light to beings, just as a lamp runs out of oil, have all entered Nirvana. Other great self-natured ones, future Tathagatas who are to come, will also enter Nirvana like a fire that burns out wood. To be liberated from samsara, like practicing asceticism in the forest, therefore, I too shall go; my meaningless body and name, competition is meaningless. Wherever there are beings to be tamed, because I have decided to leave from here, do not change your minds about the pleasant and vast places. Therefore, knowing that the world has no refuge and shakes involuntarily, one should go towards desirelessness and attain renunciation. Thus, when the talk ended, the unconcerned Tathagata, like the autumn moon illuminating, departed greatly towards the bad direction. To this, eyes filled with tears, the Licchavi people followed, with adorned arms outstretched, they joined their palms and said: Alas, suffering, like gold, possessing the thirty-two marks, the teacher's body is about to separate, the one with compassion is impermanent. The cow without milk, the calf that has not received mother's love, the stingy ones, the nectar of wisdom, alas, how quickly it is abandoned. If you leave, the people with eyes, after destroying the darkness of ignorance, the light of wisdom quickly, the sun of the Sage will set. In the continuation of ignorance, the world is taken from one place to another, the vast bridge of Dharma will break very quickly. The compassionate great doctor, possessing the medicine of supreme wisdom, the world tormented by mental illness, will surely depart after abandoning it. The mind is adorned with the tools of nails, adorned with the ornaments of wisdom, for those who are thirsty for spectacle, the pinnacle of the senses will collapse. Beings are the recipients of suffering, bound by the bonds of samsara, if this door of liberation is closed by time.

Those, were made to return by the Able One (Thubpa). Thereafter, the Able One, knowing the severance, After fully holding the teachings, For the sake of returning, it is certain that, Suffering was created by suffering. The flowers moved by the wind, Like the Karnikara tree. Those white like a golden mountain, Prostrate at the feet of the Able One, To that, hearts are attached, And the feet also stagger, Like water ripples in the opposing wind, Without moving, those return. It is respect, not joy, It is joy, not respect, To the Able One, those, There is no wavering of joy or respect. A great herd emerging from the edge of the pasture, Like a great herd of bull kings, Abiding in the place, even abiding, those, Again and again gaze at the one with ten powers. With minds gone to the Thus-Gone One, Though possessing bodies, without light Those, with feet, from there, pass into sorrow, Following like a mistaken bath. The sounds of the completely undisturbed bows suppressed everything. Those, though possessing pride, though possessing strength, though possessing attraction, If going, the Licchavi (ལི་ཙྪ་བཱི།) people desiring glory, those with great desires, With faces disturbed by sorrow, returned to their own houses. In the great poem called "The Deeds of the Buddha," the twenty-fourth chapter, loving the Licchavis. When the light becomes apprehended, Like the sky disturbed by darkness. When the Able One departs for passing away, Therefore, Vaishali (ཡངས་པ་ཅན།) is no longer beautiful. Glorious, not possessing arrogance, Everywhere delightful, Like a woman who has lost her master, Not beautiful due to being tormented everywhere. Like a form deficient in hearing, Like wisdom devoid of qualities, Like intelligence deficient in speech, Like speech devoid of formations. Like bravery deficient in conduct, Like loving-kindness devoid of beginning, Like completely suppressing perfection, Like actions deficient in Dharma. When rain falls out of season in autumn, Like the earth holding rice fields dried up. At that time, not beautiful due to sorrow, Wherever there, not cooked, Nor eaten, that sorrow, Everywhere, everything, Made the famous Able One famous. Others have not spoken, have not done, No one has thought of, Sorrow and smoke, Covering the entire city.
