If one sees selflessness in suffering itself, One will not be attached. Attachment arises from wrong views. Therefore, attachment to things, Wherever it arises, One should examine how it changes there. Seeing the change is called "seeing." If one fully understands the qualities, How can one approach attachment? If one fully understands without qualities, That is like inviting anger. Therefore, one who wishes to abandon anger, Should not fully examine hatred. Like smoke from black and white actions, Hatred flows from anger. Anger is the joy of those with form, And the darkness of those with eyes. It is the executioner of those who desire Dharma, It is the opposite of aspiration. Anger is the supreme darkness of the mind, The best of friends turned into enemies. It is the cutter of many honors, It is the one who overwhelms. Therefore, anger should not be done, And even if done, it should be abandoned. Like a gluttonous pig, One should not follow anger. Like a revolving chariot, Whoever holds anger firmly with a rope, Thinks he can control it, But another person holds the rope. If someone desires anger, That is not wanting to stop rebirth. Later, when that anger is gone, It burns like touching fire. When anger arises, first, One burns one's own mind, If it grows and spreads, Does it burn others or burn oneself? For those who are afflicted by diseases and other harms, When the world is full of love, What is the benefit of harming those who are not sentient friends? Therefore, knowing the suffering of the world, In order to prevent anger, One should cultivate love for all beings, And compassion itself. Thus, for any remaining afflictions, At that time, one sees it, The Buddha, with compassion, Spoke words of reproach to them. For the poor sentient beings, Like a naturally wise, Doctor speaks of medicine, In order to pacify all diseases. Similarly, for the poor beings afflicted by diseases such as attachment and aging, The Thus-Gone One, knowing their thoughts, Bestowed the medicine of knowing that (disease). Thus, for the words of the Thus-Gone One, The Licchavi people were very happy, With heads adorned with jewels hanging from their crowns, They paid homage. Then, joining their palms

A few smoky bodies, like offering deities to a stake, requested the Buddha to descend. Initially, it was the lineage of the mango grove guardians, to whom the Able One declared, and the saints initially said, one should not abandon earrings. Those women knew that I was deceived by them, therefore they made many offerings to the Thus-Gone One, which were doubled. The well-spoken sage mantras, like the venom of snakes, those taught by the All-Knowing One, all became extremely peaceful minds. After that night passed, the mango grove guardians treated him with hospitality, and when the summers were completely over in the city without radiance, he went to Vaishali, and by the monkey pond, the great Able One resided, he resided at the root of the tree. Thus, for the burning one, that forest was illuminated, and approaching, the demon said: Previously, by the Nairanjana River, Able One, I said to you, the task is done, cease sorrow. Here you replied: The wretched are fearless, the affairs of the hearers are accomplished, as long as I have not done it, I will not pass into nirvana before that. Therefore, many are liberated, likewise those who wish to be liberated, and those who have become liberated, therefore one should pass into nirvana. Then, having heard these words, in three months I will pass into nirvana, abandon the impermanent, this was said by the chief of the Arhats. Then, having known this vow, with hope filling his mind, extremely joyful and content, he disappeared at that very moment. Then the great sage's heart's samadhi, in that way arose from the power of yoga, having abandoned how life would pass, from the power of miracles he obtained an unparalleled life. In that instant of abandoning his life, like a drunken woman, the earth shook, and the stones of Mount Meru dyed by the mother, gradually, from all directions, the great lamps collapsed, likewise from all directions, the unbearable vajras of the Lord of Power, shook with lightning and the essence of fire, like the great eon of destruction wanting to burn the world, in all directions.
