What is called the happiness of a king? When all the lands have become a kingdom, For the sake of dwelling, one sees only one city, And in that city, one serves only one palace, Does becoming a king toil for the sake of others? The place where the king dwells is also Just one yoke. Similarly, to stop hunger, it is just food, Similarly, there is only one bed and one mat, Whether more or less, not laboring is for being full. If one desires that fruit for the sake of satisfaction, Even if separated from all kingdoms, I have satisfaction. If there is satisfaction, in the world of men, It is not without difference, everything is different. Therefore, for the one who has obtained the path of virtue and peace, I am not deceiving those desires, But remembering as a friend, again and again, Please definitely keep the vow, so he said to me. I entered the forest not because I could not bear it, Nor because the arrows of enemies made my head tremble, Nor did I hope for the remaining fruits, Therefore, I did not accept your words. Who again and again diligently cultivates the angry snake, Having abandoned it, strives to take it back. Or having abandoned the burning fire of grass with the nature of burning, Desires again rely on it. Who desires for the sake of blindness, Binds for the sake of liberation, is without wealth for the sake of being rich, Deceives the mind for the sake of the mind abiding in its nature, Desires it for the sake of the self-nature of the country. Who here obtains the supreme peace and happiness, Elsewhere, suffering completely obscures, Desiring to be liberated from the fear of conditioned existence, old age, and death, One should not have compassion for those who go near begging. Who does not obtain the peace and happiness here, Elsewhere, suffering completely seizes, Even for the one who has the nature of great perfection, Still oppressed by craving, one should have compassion. Of mind, of action, and of lineage, Your words are in accordance with this, Of mind, of action, and of lineage, My vow also leads in the same way. I also completely

Cave. Desiring peace, one completely renounces; Even in a disease-free heavenly realm, one can attain kingship. If there is no desire, alas, what need to speak of people? Whoever relies on all three realms of beings, you told me that is the supreme purpose of a person. Thus, it is meaningless, in my teachings, the three categories with activities are not satisfying either. Where there is no joyful going, no fear, no sickness, no moving, no approaching, no dying, not the diseases of the mind. Where there is no action to be done again and again, that is known by the wise as the supreme purpose of a person. As long as youth goes through various changes, so long, enjoy happiness to the fullest, it is said. This is not certain, seen as wavering, age is not stable, and youth is seen as not stable either. Whoever is the agent of their own actions, going to the end, has no control over all ages, and is shaken. If it is not so, in times of decline, wise people who desire peace should understand joy. When the bow of joy and the arrows of disease are laid out, going to the end is not a good deed, but like a hunter abiding. Destroying beings like mountain deer, relying on the forest of eons, focusing on the best of youth, with hope in mind. Therefore, whether young or old, or even a child, wishing to enter or wishing to return to lay life. Whatever the nature of having dharma, with such swiftness, it is appropriate to act here. Or those fruits of desire that are worthy of lineage, perform offerings for the sake of dharma, as it is said. Whoever desires by causing suffering to others, I bow to those who make offerings, not desiring happiness. Desiring results, involuntarily killing others, is not the way of the noble ones with compassion. Whatever offerings have results that become permanent, what is the use of doing so by those with compassion? With peace of mind or with discipline and asceticism, if it is not a ritual of another dharma. Even so, it is not appropriate to approach offerings, where the result is spoken of by harming others. Even here, for a while, where a person dwells, whatever happiness is entered by harming others, that is not desired by those with love and wisdom.
