From the nagas dwelling in the ocean: kevalaṃ bhāgyadaurbalyānnāgaiḥ sāgaravāsibhiḥ (Sanskrit, केवलं भाग्यदौर्बल्यान्नागैः सागरवासिभिः, kevalaṃ bhāgyadaurbalyānnāgaiḥ sāgaravāsibhiḥ, merely due to misfortune, by the nagas dwelling in the ocean) vayaṃ manyatra jīvāmastadupekṣatu te vibho (Sanskrit, वयं मन्यत्र जीवामस्तदुपेक्षतु ते विभो, vayaṃ manyatra jīvāmastadupekṣatu te vibho, we think we live elsewhere, may you overlook it, O Lord) samudrayātrāvicchedātkośaśoṣabhidhāyināṃ (Sanskrit, समुद्रयात्राविच्छेदात्कोशशोषभिधायिनां, samudrayātrāvicchedātkośaśoṣabhidhāyināṃ, due to the interruption of sea voyages, causing the depletion of the treasury) Having wrecked our ships, they plundered precious treasures.
