具有疯狂想法的那个人， 仅仅说着“哎呀，我自焚，我自焚”， 就堕入了地狱。 那个人就是提婆达多， 知恩图报也是我。 于其他生中相连， 此人的嗔恨无法止息。 如是，一切知者所说，提婆达多的行为， 完全是带来痛苦，充满众多危害。 于其他生中所积累的罪业相连， 比丘僧团听闻后，内心如同发生了一样。 如是，由善妙自在所著的菩萨功德譬喻藤蔓中，知恩图报的譬喻之枝，即第四十六。 以布施为唯一，心怀广大， 以勇气为根本，以功德为庄严， 以先前积累的福德所生，善妙显现的， 如意树，必定在时节成熟时，结出无缺的果实。 世尊在舍卫城， 拘萨罗国王的， 花园中，与比丘， 僧团一同安住时， 初始、中间和结尾皆善妙， 压倒轮回的殊胜之法， 以其连接三界之善， 在那时，龙王之子， 海中居住的， 四位善逝所度，正法甘露。
