The Chapter on Completion. Indra taught: "Lord of men, you are revered by many. In order to follow and remember the Dharma on earth, he slightly adopted the wise characteristics of a hundred sacrifices." Then, by the command of the lord of the gods. ཤྭ་ཀརྨྨ་ཏ་དཱ་ལ་ཡེ། (Tibetan) བྷཱ་ཤྭ་རཾ་བི་ད་དྷེ་རཏྣ་ཡཱུ་པཾ་པུ་ཎྱ་མི་བོནྣ་ཏཾ། (Sanskrit Devanagari, bhāśvaraṃ vidadhe ratnayūpaṃ puṇyami vonnatam, Sanskrit Romanization, radiantly build a jewel pillar, as lofty as merit). A radiant jewel sacrificial pillar, as lofty as merit. Then, people were eager to see it, their hearts filled with joy, unwavering. Because the plowing and other activities were interrupted, the king's treasury was depleted. Then, that lord of the earth threw it into the waters of the Ganges. (Sanskrit Devanagari, tiṣṭatyādyāpi pātāle ratnaiḥ sūryairi vācitaḥ, Sanskrit Romanization, even today it remains beneath the earth, the light of the jewels shining like the sun). Even today it remains beneath the earth, the light of the jewels shining like the sun. After a period of time, it will be completely destroyed and utterly vanish. There is nothing in this world that does not undergo change and remain forever. In the future, when the lifespan of humans reaches eighty thousand years, a king named Conch will appear. རྒྱལ་པོ་གྲགས་པ་དུང་ལྟར་ཡ་ཤཱཾ་ཤཾ་ཁོ་ནཱ་མ་རཱ་ཛཱ་བྷ་བི་ཥྱ་ཏི། (Tibetan) པུ་ཎྱཱ་ལཔྡྷ་མི་ཡཾ་ཡཱུ་པཾ་ནྲྀ་པཿ་ཀལྤ་དྲུ་མོ་པ་མཿ། (Sanskrit Devanagari, puṇyālapdha miyaṃ yūpaṃ nṛpaḥ kalpadrumo pamaḥ, Sanskrit Romanization, the king, like a wish-fulfilling tree, obtained this sacrificial pillar through merit). The king, like a wish-fulfilling tree, obtained this sacrificial pillar through merit, and he will give it to Maitreya, the son of the priest. Maitreya will also take it, immediately break it into pieces, and make it a wish-fulfilling jewel that grants all desires. འཇིག་དྲཾ་ཀ་རི་ཥྱ་ཏི། (Tibetan) ཡཱུ་པཾ་ད་ཏྭཱ་ཐ་མཻ་ཏྲེ་ཡཿ་སམྱཀྶཾ་བུདྡྷ་ཏཱཾ་ག་ཏཿ། (Sanskrit Devanagari, yūpaṃ datvā tha maitreyaḥ samyaksaṃbuddhatāṃ gataḥ, Sanskrit Romanization, after Maitreya gave the sacrificial pillar, he attained perfect enlightenment). After Maitreya gave the sacrificial pillar, he attained perfect enlightenment, becoming a treasure of unsurpassed wisdom, revered by gods and humans.
