It became a picture. After eating the green grass, drinking the immaculate water, and bathing, that fawn sat and stretched its body separately. Then, King Brahma, struck by the sound, experienced the alleviation of sorrow from the deer's body, and like being summoned by a swiftly moving horse, he came to the riverbank. The Bodhisattva, born from the water-holding clouds, listened to the sound of the water and was obstructed by the trees and thickets on the bank. He thought, "Surely a pig or a deer is entering this river," and shot an arrow in the direction from which the sound came. Then, the arrow, endowed with a great arrowhead, pierced the center of the chest, and that great being (the Bodhisattva) was struck. From that sound, the inner self felt pain, and the fawn on the bank also stood up. Knowing who had struck him, that lord of the earth, possessed of compassion, thought, "Who is this?" and quickly dismounted from his horse. He saw the arrow fixed in the center of the chest, emitting a blue-green light. The king recognized him after a long time, and tears welled up in his eyes, saying, "This one hidden in the field, this is the deer that I have struck. Those who are swayed suffer from the fault of ignorance, and wherever they are, they also do this to such holy beings. Is there any suffering more unbearable for people than the suffering of a deer's body? One who does not protect, swollen with sound, arrogant and deluded, completely inclined towards downfall, indulging in recklessness. Aiming at compassion, possessing a peaceful form. Do not kill me with the arrow of a fiery curse." Then, the Bodhisattva, single-mindedly focused on the lord of the earth (the king) scolding him in this way, because all the thoughts that arose from regret afterwards relied on the fear of rebuke. Great king, I am content with the fear of being rebuked by you. Even if you struck me with an arrow because of extreme anger, my mind would not change, let alone blame you who are faultless? However, these deeds done in the past...

The shape of the arrow struck my chest. Like this, what fault do you have here? Please completely abandon the fear of being scolded for not being supported. If someone exists, what is not subject to decay? Therefore, I have no fear of death whatsoever. For the parents who have lost their eyes in the forest, I have been constantly thinking, and suffering is approaching. Due to the power of time, I will be in other existences. Today, everything that is universally present, the progenitors and nurturers, are suffering. What can the blind do in this forest? How long will I remain with the rulers of the land? This will not abandon all sentient beings. I will quickly take my parents from the ascetic forest. I will quickly eliminate such suffering. Slightly aged, inquiring about everything, with trembling fingers, like a withered great lotus, all gray forearms, the parents touch him with compassion. I have accomplished my purpose, and today I happily give up my life. I should also report my words to my parents in this way: You nourish with the water of the deceased, the water you poured to make the tree of your son grow, please pick the last flower from that flower that speaks frankly. Then, those kings, thinking about how to speak to those who are disliked, said to the Bodhisattva: Like you being pierced by an arrow, I will fall into the lower realms. How can I pierce them with the arrow of unpleasant words? The Bodhisattva said: Great king, time is enough. My body is completely exhausted, as if completely paralyzed by poison. Then, the king, thinking that this action was sinful, agreed to do so. At that moment, he tied the horse to a branch and entered the ascetic forest, tamed like a student. At that time, the sound of the feet of the lord of the land was heard from afar. It was the sound of squeezing the completely dried leaves. Certainly, this verdant oasis is coming. Those who lived there spoke to each other in this way. The king also approached.

Having arrived, unable to utter words of displeasure, with a heart wrung by suffering, approached the vicinity of the fence, remaining there without a word. Then, the Bodhisattva's mother thought, 'This blue lotus-colored one has come.' And so she spoke: 'Having taken the water pot, you come to the river to fetch water, why is it that today, my son, you have come after so long? Having offered fire, pick fruits and lotuses, arrange them in petal containers, for your father is hungry.' Then, Brahma spoke with a clear voice: 'For those who have recognized themselves, having done those things without thought, he spoke of the faults of those actions.' They also heard the Bodhisattva's suffering, and exclaimed, 'Alas!' nearly fainting. After a long time, they regained consciousness, uttering lamentations, and spoke: 'As long as his body has not been completely abandoned, and birds and jackals are still gnawing at it, we wretched ones, out of compassion, are near him, you who are burdened with suffering, please quickly take us away! ' Then, the kings approached, their eyes closed tight from the wound of the arrow, and came to the Bodhisattva's side. Then, the mother cried out, 'Son, alas, son!' and embraced the Bodhisattva in the grip of suffering, nearly fainting. The leader also, with compassion, began to lament: 'Having smeared the platform, and also made offerings of flowers, today, while giving mantras, the firewood has fallen into the fire. Struck by the arrow of old age, deprived of all actions, the ascetics, with weak limbs and without light, have long dwelt in this ascetic forest. You are the eyes of us blind ones, this is the nature of a son, the eyes are large, without darkness, without defect, yet you have been taken away. Having abandoned love, now for us, you have become Yama, making us blind. Having made the world happy with the water of love, adorned with the abode that nourishes with the water of great qualities, why do you, Yama, take us away?'
