Having done so. In the ascetic forest, the son named Ghati practices asceticism. The great-minded Menaka seizes Indra with her power. Disdainingly bending the bow of lotus stalk, joy arises in her heart, and she pierces him with an arrow. Why is this? Small desires are the cause of increase. Why is this? Clusters of dust fall upon the head. Whose heart is touched by the arrows of harsh words? That embodied one is acted upon by women. Tightly binding the armor of great effort from all sides, arranging the army of existence in front. Quickly and extremely shamelessly striking from all directions. In the center of the battlefield of desire, they are completely dominated by women. Even men who are inferior can endure arrow wounds without even moving their eyebrows. Thereafter, that king called the escaped birds and said: In the snowy mountains, there is a king named Golden Appearance. Quickly, you all must take him. If you do not take him, then all of you will be sent to the Lord of Death with sharp blades. Those who also fear death promised to do so, and sent a very skilled bird to accomplish the task. That bird catcher also gradually went to the snowy mountains. Knowing the realm of the peacock lord, contemplating the ropes, he remained in one place. On the high snowy mountain, the ground is flat and near. The escaped bird, with what did it arrange? The peacock, merely by seeing it, cut the net of ropes from a long time ago. Thereafter, abiding for a long time on the snowy mountain, those with divine eyes, the able ones, seeing the power of the Bodhisattva, with a mind of wonder, spoke thus: The glorious one with the path of merit, by this sight, the ropes are shown, how is this binding? Just as this one with vows attains enlightenment, with the sword of wisdom, he will cut the ropes of afflictions. Thereafter, the escaped bird, displeased by the cutting of the ropes, came near with palms joined, and repeated the king's harsh command to the lord of the birds. Fearing the cutting of life.

O all! Seeking refuge is refuge. O master with white corners of the eyes! You are my refuge, please be my refuge! You cut with the sight of the rope. The conch is also cut like that, with white ends. Such a powerful one, you come, how can you not protect us? That is poverty and powerlessness, seen in times of decline like relatives. The essence of compassion, that mind, is completely pervaded by suffering. How can you not protect sentient beings? This steadfast one is from suffering, from the perfection of discipline, abiding as if without doubt. If you want to attain enlightenment, if you do not abandon me, O supreme peacock, please protect these from the punishment of the human king, arising from the perfection of discipline, as that peacock said: Such compassion is very good! Thereafter, the Bodhisattva, for the sake of those who fear death, thought like this, as if with suffering: With a gentle voice, very pleasing, with feathers, if I do not come out of this forest, not from the king of men with a nature devoid of compassion, coming with fear, like those flocks of birds, thus for my sake, here arises a joyful mind, sentient beings until suffering does not approach, completely urging, better than the protector of the earth dying, until then, this is completely protected. Without reason or with reason, from the gathering place, for whose sake will it be destroyed? With many harsh words as arrows, one whose self is exhausted, what can that person, such a person, do? Having thought thus, the Bodhisattva, coming to himself, in order to make the king understand, said: Go ahead. Thereafter, the bird catcher came quickly with a very joyful mind, saying: Now, out of love for us, the lord of the peacocks will come. Thereafter, the king, together with the queen and the people of the city, waited for his arrival with amazement, and repeatedly looked at the sky and sat. The king of peacocks also breathed out to those following the flock of peacocks, made them return, and then went into the middle of the sky.

Suddenly approaching, with a naturally gentle voice, making the people of Varanasi happy and content. Then, hearing that voice, thinking it must be the master of the peacock, with a heart full of joy, the sound of anklets startled the flocks of pigeons, and the male and female pigeons closely connected with the pigeons flew away quickly. Some shook their earrings flower garlands, especially, they used fingers redder than Sindhura to draw uncertain marks in the center of their foreheads. Because the heavy vulvas of the women hindered quick walking, they walked slowly. Some jealous women walked away slightly, and seeing others drawing portraits of previous generations, they felt ashamed. They hindered quick walking again, and the edges of their ears touched the edges of the utpala petals of their eyes opened with extreme joy. Others discarded half-drawn picture cards, placing the edges of the sketches, like something with exhausted life, in the zamatoka, decorating the backs of the palaces with things as white as white water jewels, snow, kunda, lotus roots, crystal, and silver. Other women clearly went to the batayana. Then, the peacock entering the palace doorway, those who saw it were amazed. The women, with their large-eyed faces, made the city as beautiful as many moons. Because of the surprise, their hair was blown by the wind. Like energetic deer cubs, their eyes were mesmerizing. The highest minds were seen by the mothers, and high-faced children came out of their homes. Abandoning the love of picking up a beaten lute, droplets of dust dripped on their foreheads, very charming. Slightly revealing breasts, the upper garments were high. The trees of their arms were very slender, and young women appeared. Clearly seeing "This peacock, this peacock," their bright nails were like jewels, like red lotus petals shining with light. Laughing
