Having completely abandoned in that way, this entire earth has become helpless, uttering various cries like this, disheartened, they each returned to their own homes. This word came from the ministers: Darkness covers the vicinity, The goddess's eyes shed tears, Uttering cries to that lord of the earth. Friend of the world, just by hearing of you, You yourself said that the lord of the earth has ascended to heaven. Even so, I, a wretch with boundless suffering, Want to live, but I completely do not want to do so. You, who possess a very gentle heart, full of love, Never have a rough and hateful mind. This person who follows you without fault, Why did you abandon me, who loves you so much, and leave? Extremely angry, showing a fierce form, Speaking like this in front of the women: Jealous for no reason, looking down in anger, Who will approach me today? Who will whisper in my ear like a blooming lotus? Who will comb the hair hanging on my forehead beautifully and charmingly? For the sake of adornment, who will slowly place a charming auspicious mark on my face? Who will enter the bath and fan me? My lover, who will do this like a loving lover? Without you, today this lute will for a long time, Be alone in the house, contemplating. Who will enter because of the beauty of another's moon? Like a lotus growing alone in the water. Just as she grieves, alas, The morning moon appears in this mirror. Entering the center of the enchanting grove, Giving fully ripened jambu fruits to you, Because my lover is gone, like a shiratop flower. Parrot, who will read to you today? My lover has left his friends, There is no need to comb my hair for me again. For a long time, you have been gone, I have been pursuing goals, Why do I not tie up my hair today? Then, the beautiful women of the concubine's entourage, Hearing the goddess's lament like this, felt guilty, Immediately abandoning respect like a mirror, Heart...

Being robbed, the place of adornment is also abandoned. Those whose eyes are connected with eyeliner, those who want to apply eye medicine, quickly and completely abandon. Accompanied by suffering, the half-old women, with tears, wipe their faces covered with decorations. Scattered flowers with saffron, those who wear them on their heads are all untied. Powerless, fragrant, with droplets, yellowish, some ears of grain gathered together are also separated. Clothes adorned with shining necklaces, others cover their foreheads with curved hair. The women are surrounded by falling bees, like a captivating Kalpa tree tormented by the winds of the Kalpa. Some learned from the attendants that the lord of the land with tearful eyes had died. Like a lotus flower wilting at night, with words, falling to the ground, the women all died. Others were gradually seen by the surrounding people, depicting the scene of the lord of men, the moon-like light, completely victorious. The women dwelling in their laps, because of suffering, were abandoned together with the trees and gray lines in the paintings. The hair is scattered and tangled, the fragrance completely disappears. The threads are accompanied by blooming flowers, some young women, like lotuses with broken bracelets. With red hands, they beat their chests at that moment. Then, those great ministers, because of sorrow, Tears welled up in their eyes, uttering cries of lamentation like a compassionate king, the eldest son. Giving handfuls of water to others, allowing the consorts and attendants to regain their breath in various ways, they said to the person tormented by illness: Do as the king wishes! In this way, he will be offered to, they said. Then, the people cut with weapons, took the flesh from that red fish, and ate it in the order instructed by the doctor, thereby completely freeing themselves from the disease. Thus, when the Bhagavan became a Bodhisattva, he also performed austerities for the benefit of sentient beings, therefore possessing great compassion.

The Buddha, the Bhagavan, who possesses me, who is the sentient being, who would not be respectful? The Jataka of the Lotus Possessor, that is, the eighth Jataka. Even if oneself is completely burned, because one knows the fruit of giving, one gives. That is laboring on the land of the field, who believes in the fruit from the seed? Thus it was heard that in the palace of the King of Varanasi, by the power of Dharma, completely suppressing others, the retinue of the king was brought under control. Like a Chakravartin, possessing an unobstructed wheel, examining the assembly of ministers in four excellent ways. Possessing the treasure of qualities such as hearing, discipline, and generosity, possessing power in common with beings who seek meaning. Like cutting a white jewel, with white fame surpassing all the shores of the ocean, striving with effort to accomplish the benefit of others, at the same time, a Bodhisattva who caused the great Bodhi to grow, a king named Brahma-given was born. Who has eliminated decay, who is satisfied with wealth today, who will be established on the path of peace, who can have such a dwelling? In order to completely cut off existence for oneself, wanting to be established on the good path, without benefit to others, some others, the great ones themselves have no action. There, for the king who also upholds the Dharma kingship, at one time, a very severe famine occurred. Gradually, in that land, because of the ability to cut off the extremely thin water source, the completely dried-up Kuba trees had a collection covered with water, and the extremely thin Salu oil emerging from the holes of the empty warehouse covered the roots of the walls, and the sound of pounding and churning was not understood, and the smoke beings emaciated by hunger, having piles of leaves with steam placed on the visible door bolts, and the beings seeking meaning especially did not dwell at the gates, and the completely old leaves that the girls were picking were leaves with leaves, and a state worse than death.
