Hearing from the person serving the empty bed of the human lord, the ministers surrounded and searched for the king's whereabouts, approached the garden growing near the house, and saw the Rohita fish, which was as long as a pile of pearls beside the woman on the Varanasi seashore. Without seeing the form, they also heard the profound words of the gods dwelling in the sky: To cut off the suffering of disease, this lord of men threw himself into the river and became a Rohita fish. Then, those ministers heard this, and their hearts were pained by the suffering of sorrow, and they said: Alas, the compassionate king did this for the benefit of sentient beings.
