The Kasha silk threads mixed with peacock feathers, Some are wrapped, and cylinders wrapped all around. The water of the rivers becomes turbid, As Jambudvipa fruits fall on the bank, foam arises. The banks of the rivers are connected by Jambudvipa fruits, Behold the pleasant and beautiful scene connected to the soft meadow. The sound echoes as water droplets fall, in the house of leaves, The Sage dwells together with the rabbit, greatly delighted. Then he asked him, With this great conceptualization, You who desire the bliss of the gods, Do you desire the position of a god? The rabbit, with a steadfast mind, Said to that ascetic, "For the sake of pacifying the suffering of beings, I desire to become a Buddha." Then the Sage said to him, "When you become a Buddha, Then please accept me as your disciple." He also promised him. Thus, even when born in the state of an animal, this Bhagavan engaged in the conduct of Bodhisattvas and benefited others with his life. Therefore, one should abide with joy and single-pointedness in the Buddha Bhagavan. This is the Jataka of the Rabbit, the fourth Jataka. The Bodhisattva completely gives away his head, Who would not be amazed by this? Or that which is in accordance with the fruit, Are mostly all the endeavors of the great ones. Thus it was heard, by the power of a friend holding fire offerings, truly born, possessing great waves, resembling the snowy mountains that follow the milk ocean, manifestly adorned with pearl necklaces, a sentient being extremely delighted with the women on the side of the vile body, the divine craftsman Vishvakarman painted it like purple ore. Harmed in every way by various beings.

The fragrance of the flowers in the garden, stirred by the wind, permeated all directions. For the sake of perpetual good harvests, the treasuries and granaries were filled to the brim, and the city's appearance was like a symbol of prosperity. A royal palace named "Good Rock" was established there. Even now, it is still known by the name "Good Rock." Then, by the strength of the king's hand, he defeated other kings or great royal ministers. The rivers were as rich as the ocean, the source of all perfections, the vessel of all knowledge, and filled with love for all beings. King Moonbeam, whose flawless face was as beautiful as the moon, making the moon's light pale in comparison, was born. In the cities of enemies, he seized the happiness and glory of women; for friends, he brought joy. This lord of men, whose moon-like body, in the night, dispelled the darkness and became the fruit of the lamp. This king also had a vow that amazed all transcendent beings: If anyone asks me for anything, whether it be my eyes, or the head upon which my life depends, or even the position to destroy the world, whatever they desire, I will not fail them. The chief of ministers, who possessed a hundred thousand riches, flowing eternally like dawn before the Bodhisattva, the wise minister Great Moon, was born. Those who praise each other's merits, those who are inclined to help each other, there will never be a separation between them. Then, at some point, Minister Great Moon, as he was about to fall asleep at night, dreamed that his hair and beard were like a burning pile of leaves, with a bluish and rough light, like a burning flame, his hair and beard were yellowish-brown, his nails were curved and sharp like a lion's claws, his belly was huge, like heavy rain clouds soaked with water, and his body was as strong and thick as an iron pillar.

Having arms and a chest, appearing very beautiful due to the curved fangs like those of a rabbit, moving without moving the eyebrows with a flickering and not long-lasting light. He saw the Yakshas covering their lower bodies with the skin of a man with blood, approaching that lord of men, and the jewels of the crown falling. Having awakened, he was displeased and thought thus: Alas, I have seen this mature, rough dream. If taking the body of our lord also has meaning, I should give alms. Therefore, as long as no one asks the lord of men for my head, I will have the craftsmen make many heads of precious materials. They themselves also thought, for whom should we offer and give alms separately to the one who asks for the head outside? The protector of the earth, in this place, rules the senses, has long nourished himself, and nourishes all beings. Then, the great Moon minister, the chief of the ministers, had the heads of precious materials made, and to the people who were asking outside, he said, whoever can accomplish the meaning, let them act and reside. Then, a Brahmin named Violent Eyes, with a round face exuding fragrance, hair and beard fully matured, resembling an unmade frown, not white like a burning stump, with rough skin, walking crookedly like a worm in a lotus, having uneven shins, thighs, and arms with a coarse network of veins, fierce by nature like a snake, resided separately. Various thoughts arose in him: King Moon Light abandons everything, therefore I will go for a while. If I ask that king for his head, the vow will become meaningless. Who has the power to completely give alms of the head? Thinking thus repeatedly, he gradually came to Auspicious Rock. Then, the earth together with the mountains shook, and the ocean churned again and again.
