行作转变之人等，如是心之种种所穷尽，心之车乘行入不转变。于诸境近而受用，终则粗涩，如蛇缠绕之旃檀，全然拥抱，名为安乐实非真，随逐分别之士夫，多于苦恼网中尤沉溺。嗟乎！无明已将一切众生置于下，突发之垢染污者受呵责。何者此乃聚集死亡音声之境域，如象卧倒般降临而住立。狡诈者之障蔽音声夺取善道，不恒常之怖畏恒常未曾作意，舍弃善逝所教之舟，众生将沉没于苦恼大海。刹那刹那间，生命渐趋穷尽，如烟之路般趋于寂灭。是故恒常背离诸境，迅速且具利益，应具智慧。如是言词若不合乎道理，若我曾言说，如所欲般体验所欲之安乐法缘。然此乃具功德之圣者所思，应依止断除对境贪恋之寂静胜境。如是宣说佛法后，菩提萨埵与友伴之众一同入家。如是善巧行持之薄伽梵，思及众生亦乐于听闻善说，故应时时以大恭敬听闻欲断除痛苦之智者之法谈。依止善知识亦将成就显现欲求之果，是故应随彼而住。名为求法者之本生，即本生第三。圣者亦于畜生之生处播种，为利他而舍弃生命，名为苏者已诞生，仅为财物。

Those who act and change, thus exhausted by the various minds, the entry of the mind's chariot does not change. Approaching and enjoying objects, the end is rough, like sandalwood entwined by a snake, completely embracing, called happiness is not true, following the discriminating person, especially immersed in the net of suffering. Alas! Ignorance has placed all beings under, the suddenly arising defilements are blamed by the defiled. Whoever this is the realm of gathering the sound of death, like an elephant lying down, descends and stands. The obscuring sounds of the cunning steal the good path, the fear of impermanence is never constantly considered, abandoning the boat taught by the Sugata, beings will sink into the ocean of suffering. From moment to moment, life gradually comes to an end, like the path of smoke, it tends to be extinguished. Therefore, always turning away from objects, quickly and with benefit, you should have wisdom. If the words are not reasonable, if I have said, experience the desired happiness and dharma connection as you wish. But this is thought by the virtuous noble ones, you should rely on the supreme peace that cuts off the craving for objects. After teaching the Dharma in this way, the Bodhisattva and his companions entered the house together. Thus, the Bhagavan who is skilled in good conduct, thinking that beings also like to hear good words, should always listen with great reverence to the Dharma talk of the wise who want to cut off suffering. Relying on a good spiritual friend will also accomplish the fruit of manifesting desires, therefore, one should abide by following him. Named the Jataka of the Dharma seeker, that is, the third Jataka. The holy ones also sow in the birth place of animals, giving up their lives for the benefit of others, named Su has been born, only for wealth.

Thus it was later heard, A flock of parrots that are unwavering and surely subside, On the various mountain peaks covered with green grass, The shadows of the trees are near, possessing herds of deer that ruminate and regurgitate, Surrounded by swarms of bees, the trees where flowers grow, emitting sounds, Washed by the water flowing from the mountains, moved by the fragrant wind, with rocks as the backdrop, Conforming to the minds of the capable ones, The pollen of trees and saplings of good lineage fall, struck by the waves of the river, adorned with clusters of white lotuses like kumuda, Possessing water and lotus groves where the supreme water and birds emit sounds, In some of the mountain forests, the Bodhisattva will appear as a rabbit. There, living together, companions manifestly increasing from merit, extremely peaceful, the senses of those who have accumulated are subdued, With a mind turned away from enjoying worldly dharma, Holding only animal skin and a water pot, the ascetic tormented by austerities, became its friend. Peace and Dharma are the same, Creating happiness and suffering are the same, They have not seen each other, How could excellent friends not rejoice? Separated from the rabbit in childhood, A little later, warm rays of light appear, The rabbit in various ways in the hundred paths, The ascetic did not do well. Abandoning a friend seven steps away, For the noble ones with pure minds by nature, Their minds are greatly pleased by words of mutual merit, What need to mention those with definite connections and thoughts? In the minds of those who abide in meditative absorption, Manifestation for the sake of Dharma arises, For sentient beings with very gentle minds, Why does the consciousness of engaging in Dharma arise? Alas, where was this rabbit born? Where is this steadfast and peaceful one?
