I placed the skeleton at the root of the tree by the river, for decoration, and the woman also decorated the body of her dead husband with it, and then fell asleep. Then, the Bodhisattva, knowing that she was asleep, tied the two of them together with a rope. The two bodies were as white as the roots of washed lotuses. He walked silently along the riverbank and threw them into the river without hesitation. She cried out in sorrow, "Ha, ha," and then, overcome by sleep, he killed her mercilessly. "My beloved, you have stolen my master." She spoke in such pitiful words. Then, seeing the two corpses being carried away by the water, she cried out, "ཀྱི་ཧུད་ཧ་ཧ་," and ran along the riverbank. They ran so fast, the two corpses were clearly visible, the bubbles swirling and shaking, the river seemed to be laughing. Then, the woman ran along the riverbank, her eyes filled with tears, and again and again spoke these vile words: You, who adorned yourself with various ointments of Ushira, with bright fragrances, you who steal the families of others, you have clearly received this pleasant fruit. My words of praise never ceased, I held your hand tightly, looked at you respectfully, you who are so cruel, why didn't you think of these three things? My very gentle wife, if you were lucky enough to come here too, even then, you would always follow me, you unworthy one, you would abandon me, the unbeautiful one. The hearts of women are nourishing, the praises of people are untrue. You have abandoned me, the holy one, today and left, you have left the truth to men. You who are full of desire for other women, you who have no pleasant heart, you who are devoid of love and gentleness. My words cannot stay on this barren land, like pouring a small amount of water on hot iron. Then, the Bodhisattva saw him die like this

To the one who was speaking ill of the body, who was filled with suffering for a moment, filled with anger for a moment, and uttering lamentations for a moment, (the Bodhisattva) said: 'You who are devoid of a kind heart, a mindful person, utterly shameless, who are manifestly diligent in slandering the world by scheming behind its back. Who is it that speaks so openly to a kind person? The ignorant one creates smoke in the empty temple for no reason. I have told you again and again, why does your husband always look with laughter and affection at my wife, the woman who looks down in shame? Surely he says, "This is my wife, desiring her." So you should not believe these things.' Having said this, the great being uttered this lamentation that was not innate: 'That seductive woman seizes my eyes, and the tears that flow constantly block my sight. You, the woman who is as dear as my life, have stolen my beloved, like night when the sun is shining. Separated from her, I cannot find stability. Just as the female elephant is always with the male elephant, separated from me, she too will not find stability. Like a doe separated from a powerless stag.' Thus, the Bodhisattva uttered lamentations, and that woman, binding her neck with a cloth, respectfully said: 'Then speak plainly! We will surely be victorious. Or, bring back my woman! Snatched away by that evil one.' Thus, the one who was threatened by the Bodhisattva, saddened by fear, said: 'Now how can I have my wife? Please, noble one, have mercy! I have a daughter of a ogress, with breasts just beginning to show, like a mantra to a good student, I will give her to you.' The Bodhisattva said: 'I do not need other celestial daughters, bring that wife with the excellent face.' 'If that is your wish, my woman with the squinting eyes, with this great stone, I will grind your head to powder.' Then the Bodhisattva picked up the stone and, towards that woman, all around

Having made a clear angry expression as if wanting to strike. Then that woman, being afraid, (said) Noble One, please have mercy! I am a poor person without relatives, I should not be so frightened. Even if I have made a mistake, women are by nature poor and prone to errors. Therefore, please calm your anger! Wise and steadfast one, I am not to be killed. Having said this, she touched the feet of the Bodhisattva. Then, that great being, knowing her fear, said: If you listen to my words, then my stone will not hit your head. She said: I dare not disobey your command, you may say whatever you wish, Noble One. The Bodhisattva said: If you do not disobey, then you will have happiness. Therefore, listen: You carry the corpse of your dead husband on your shoulder. If you understand these foolish people, you should abandon them like darkness. Going again and again, rising again and again. Obtaining control of the lord of beings, this life is like a blind man. Who is it that forcibly kills untimely? Impermanence itself does not arise by suppressing the form. The wind, which has great power, will soon appear like a gathering of water. At the time of the final destruction, the extremely powerful fire blazes, and is repeatedly covered by fish with round bellies. Living underground, possessing terrifying groups of snakes, the great ocean will also come to an end. Adorned with various wish-fulfilling trees, the goddesses rely on lotus water, the golden heap is completely melted by fire, and Mount Meru also becomes as light as cotton. Abandoning those things that steal the heart of a hundred sacrifices, the city of the gods, the Asuras are extremely hot, wealth is burning, wherever it goes, it is like clouds dissipating, lightning without splendor. These also penetrate the darkness, just like having the distinction between day and night. The lamp of beings, the cool rays of the sun.
