The section is spoken of in terms of the excellent. From "What is the root of your view?" to "What does the root of your kind cling to?" these three verses are spoken of in terms of the intermediate. "For the sake of the root, one's own self is ruined," and "Who sees the root but does not see the Dharma?" these two verses are spoken of in terms of the inferior. The verse "Become the supreme of the holy" is spoken of in terms of the excellent situation. The yakshas, elephants, and monkeys also show the faults of desire, because they have not separated from desire, so they abandoned the three vows that are consistent with the situation. "What is not lost, or what is lost?" This verse is spoken of in terms of the intermediate. "Those who strive in their minds to obtain," this half verse is spoken of in terms of desiring the happiness of the visible Dharma. "Those who desire to obtain through ascetic effort," this lower half is to be spoken of in terms of desiring the happiness of the other world. "Because of desire, the world is bound and killed," and "Who will quickly have quarrels with friends?" these two verses, and "Therefore, the excellent, intermediate, and inferior," this half verse briefly shows the faults of the three kinds of desire, of which the fault of inferior desire is, "Because of desire, the world is bound and killed," this half. In terms of the excellent, "Even kings, because of desire," this lower half. In terms of the intermediate, "Who will quickly have quarrels with friends?" this is the lower half of the verse. "In this and the other world, one is killed by desire," this refers to the verse "Reputation declines, and one also experiences suffering in the future," the decline of reputation refers to the faults of the visible Dharma, and experiencing suffering refers to the faults of the other world. "Like an angry poisonous snake that wants to benefit me," this refers to the fact that it is always the cause of destruction.

Ir ro! Why am I hiding the lotus root here? The answer is, it is for examination. Why examine? The answer is, it is to realize that all virtues are as expected. Conduct is completely pure because no one's mind is confused, and it has not turned into another meaning. Steadfast conduct, even in the reversal and entry of happiness and suffering, does not change into something else due to the distinction of steadfastness. We are not your relatives and friends. The summarized meaning of this verse is that there are four causes for the emergence of play. In this regard, "We are not your relatives" refers to siblings born together. Friends are Neudeng, and these two should act like play because they are of the same kind and of the same age. The performer is an imitator, and it is reasonable for performers and mockers to treat each other in a playful manner because they live by it. Why specially belittle? This is a word of suppression with majesty. The word "playful action" means that the behavior is rebuked like an elephant. The Jataka of the Lotus Root from the Extensive Explanation of the Jataka Tales by the teacher Hero is finished. Hearing, taming, and noble lineage, among them, hearing is the collection of wisdom that arises now. Taming and noble lineage are the fruits of the past life's discipline paramita, namely the Vipaka-phala and the Nisyanda-phala. To act without stinginess and with inner peace is the fruit of the wisdom collection of past lives. In worldly terms, there is no contradiction, which refers to the discipline paramita of the present era. Being known as proficient in words due to familiarity with many scriptures is to clarify the hearing mentioned earlier. The words "having compassion" and so on refer to the giving paramita of the present life. Being very wealthy is the fruit of the giving paramita of the previous life. Thus, all of these are merits.

English

It shows entering into the cause and effect of the accumulation of merit and wisdom. That "Lord of the Nature of Dharma" indicates dwelling in the perfections of generosity and discipline. "Adorned with the qualities of listening, etc." indicates dwelling in the perfection of the accumulation of wisdom. Having become the abode of the two accumulations, it is therefore the basis for being revered. "Because of meeting" is for the sake of seeing. "In his house" refers to the great bodhisattva. Whatever act of reverence for guests who have come is done, that is the act of reverence for guests who have come. The time for speaking has come, which is to discuss words that are ripe for the occasion. That is the conversation that arises from it. "Do you love?" is asking whether you cherish, it is asking whether there is no attachment to other women. "Do you remember the virtue of reverence?" refers to nurturing, etc., it is not doing harm, it is fully knowing the virtue of reverence. "Is there discomfort?" and other verses are of two kinds. These three are to take hold by enjoying equally with oneself and by closely using. The absence of discomfort shows the absence of close harm. Thus, for the time being, women are asked about their dependence on others. "She lowered her head in shame and was not confident" means that because she was asked something inappropriate, she lowered her head in shame. Confidence refers to not confidently answering that question. The meaning of "being of age and having a good appearance" is that if it is oneself or another who makes the cause for going forth, it shows that there are not those two causes for going forth. There are also two ways of going forth by one's own authority: being unable to enjoy possessions, and being suitable to dwell in the forest of asceticism. In order to show that neither of those two is present, it is therefore shown by the first half, that is, "being of age and having a good appearance." These two show that it is appropriate to enjoy closely, being of age refers to enjoying oneself.
