Then, how is it happiness? When is it called happiness? It is when accomplishing and protecting, etc., because of suffering, when is it happiness? Therefore, there is no happiness through three ways. Then, how do worldly people have the thought of happiness towards it? It is said: Happiness arises from the power of complete realization, but it is not so by its very nature. Thus, temporary happiness is shown to be the power of the mind's complete realization. Towards objects, it is called approaching and enjoying due to ignorance. The happiness of the five senses approaching and enjoying objects, how can it become happiness since there is no discrimination towards it? Because there is no discrimination of happiness towards it. Even mere discrimination is endowed with the five kinds of direct perception, therefore it is said: It is exhausted like the happiness of scratching an itchy wound. This means that just as scratching an itchy wound produces happiness, relying on objects is also like happiness. The path of Dharma is extremely peaceful. The extremely peacefulness mentioned earlier, in the second explanation, because dwelling in a household will not make afflictions extremely peaceful, and in order to firmly not regress, this verse of "mostly" was composed. The summarized meaning here is that it shows that in both the perfect situation and the declining situation, there is no pacification of afflictions. The first half of the verse shows that in the perfect situation, afflictions are not pacified. The first line of the second half shows the declining situation. "There" means in that house, that is, there is no pacification in both the perfect and declining situations, because there is no third situation other than these two. It shows, "When will one attain peace?" This verse of "Pride and arrogance" is a summary of all the meanings mentioned before. Pride and arrogance, ignorance is like a snake's nest. It is the place and foundation. Therefore, it is said, the happiness of delighting in peace

(Jigpa, Destruction): This means that the happiness of joy is destructible, because like gathering and dwelling, it is the source of intense suffering. This concludes the suffering of striving and protecting, etc., mentioned earlier. (Ragtushi la gawai de jigpa, The destruction of joy that is completely peaceful): This means, how is complete peace happiness? To explain happiness, here is a verse about contentment. Happiness is of two kinds, namely physical and mental. From the perspective of mental happiness, here is a verse about contentment. Living contentedly with possessions is because one is satisfied with just a few things like robes. A contented person is an ascetic. Contented people are the same whether they are at home or in the forest. The happiness of complete solitude is the happiness of complete physical and mental solitude. The happiness of mental solitude makes the mind happy, which shows inner joy. Therefore, from the perspective of mental happiness, (De dra lhayi yul na'ang med, Such happiness is not even in the realm of the gods): This means that in the human world, even if there are gods, there is no such happiness. From the perspective of physical happiness, (De wa tsal na zhes byawai tsik chey yin no, Therefore, in the garden) This is a verse. The first half of this verse shows the simplicity of food, shelter, and robes. Even making a living is not pursued in this way, that is, mixed with illegality, which refers to the actions mentioned earlier. Happiness is the happiness of the home. What is unwanted is like food mixed with poison. The happiness of the home that is obtained and produced through food, drink, and family life is like food mixed with deadly poison, because it is mixed with illegal things. Wanting what is beneficial to oneself is the wise. བཀུར་སྟིའི་བྱ་བ་ཁྱད་པར་ཅན་གྱིས་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི་མངོན་དུ་སྨྲ་བ་དང༌། ཕྱག་ལ་སོགས་པའོ། (Kurti kyakpar chen gyi zhes byawa ni ngon du mrawa dang, chak la sokpa'o, With special acts of respect, such as speaking openly and prostrating, etc.) འདོད་པ་ལས་སླར་ལྡོག་གོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི་ཕྱིས་ཡང་འདོད་པ་ལ་འཇུག་པར་མི་བྱེད་པའོ། (Dodpa las lar dok go zhes byawa ni chyi yang dodpa la jukpar mi je pa'o, Returning again from desire means not indulging in desire again later.) This is the "Royal Lineage of the Wealthy" from the *Extensive Explanation of the Jataka Tales* by the great scholar Dpa'bo. འཕྱས་ཀྱི་གནས་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི་རྗེས་སུ་བྱེད་པ་ལྟ་བུའོ། (Phye kyi ne zhes byawa ni jesu jepa lta bu'o, A place of ridicule, like following.) (Nodpa lta bur zhes byawa, Like harm.)
