What exists is the suspicion of impropriety. To explain the reason for suspecting impropriety, it is said, "Desire is also very powerful," and so on. Allowing entry inside is allowing after saying, "There is a matter to request." The arising of discrimination is like, "Is it true or false?" And so on. Like that, "Madana" means just as he said, the king developed attachment to that intoxicating woman. Not keeping the command that should be issued means not issuing the command. "Please accept this daughter" means that she should be taken away by all means. "Or to issue a command." "Persuading by hints" means that even if it is hidden, the meaning of this matter is clearly explained. The unwanted words are clear, that is, whose words. "That is inappropriate" means explaining that the words "Please accept that daughter" are inappropriate. To explain the reason for not wanting it. "Merit Declined," and so on, are the first two verses. "Merit declined" means going where one should not go. If that happens, what will happen? He said, "I will not be immortal either," which means that if I die, merit will decline, thus showing the fault of my going. "This sin of mine will also be known by others," which is the fault of gaining a bad reputation. "Being separated from it" means that it harms both this life and the next. In this life, it is harmed by dying. Because of dying with regret, one will go to a bad rebirth in the next life. This verse "This life" follows after "Merit declined," harming both, that is, harming both myself and others. In this life, because I go where I should not go, I will fall into a bad rebirth, and in the next life, because I die with regret, I will fall into a bad rebirth. It is not only that, but it is also a bad reputation for oneself, and for others it will cause death. In this way, these four cause harm. Not wanting it is because it is an action that harms both this life and the next. For what reason?

My cause is the cause of that, because I am skilled in my own cause. Thus, I am skilled in understanding the action that has become harmful. The answer to the word "decline of merit" is: "Done by a friend who gives alms." This verse means, how does preventing alms become an obstacle to the Dharma? He himself said, "Because it was not received." Because alms were not received from me, it becomes an obstacle to alms. The answer to the question, "My sins will also be known by others" is: "Except for the two of us." This verse is the answer. The answer to "The fire of regret after being separated from it" is: "If that is done, it will be considered a favor to me." This pure verse shows that it will be considered a favor to me, but there is no regret in being separated from it. Without it, there will be no death, because the death that is its cause does not exist, so there will be no going to the lower realms. These three verses are the answer to the faults mentioned earlier. The answer to the verse "Done by a friend who gives alms" is: "Because of extreme love for me." This verse means that the previous alms refers to the alms of sentient beings, which are of four types: beneficial but not happy, happy but not beneficial, both happy and beneficial, and neither happy nor beneficial. Among these four, if it becomes without benefit, then it should not be given in any case. If it is not beneficial but happy, then it should also be given. If it is neither beneficial nor happy, then it should not be given. Whatever is beneficial and happy, that is alms. Even if it is not happy but beneficial, that is alms. Therefore, this is only happy and not beneficial, and alms with such characteristics are not a support for practicing Dharma in any way. The answer to the verse mentioned earlier, "It will be considered a favor to me," etc., is: "Because of extreme love for me." This verse means more than a friend.

Becoming a relative is even more special, therefore, because of being very loving towards me, one does not even spare one's own life. Apart from the two of us. This is the answer to the verse mentioned earlier: Doing evil without being seen means that there is no happiness in doing evil in secret. Because of doing evil in secret, it is impossible for pure eyes not to see. And so on. Mentioning gods refers to the divine eye born from karma. Mentioning yogis refers to the divine eye born from clairvoyance. Applying medicine and offerings to me. The answer to etc. is: Now, do you not pity me? This verse shows that one sees the other person as possessing qualities such as the body. What is called abandonment is that which possesses such characteristics. Suffering means regret. Because of being very loving towards me. The answer to the three verses etc. is: I said this verse, I am a maidservant. Giving this maidservant is a companion in giving the Dharma, but not a friend, because it is with the master. Doing evil without being seen is not evil, because of these two reasons. Thus, three verses were spoken, but one of them was not answered. Do you not pity me? The answer to this verse is: This is what I created, I do pity you. The verse etc. is this. The verse, 'Glory comes from practicing the Dharma,' was spoken to strengthen one's resolve and to grasp one's own sense of shame. What is shame? It is avoiding doing bad things because of me and the Dharma. Being stabbed with a knife or entering the fire, these two illustrate the conformity of the body's senses to comfort, which is caused by two reasons that include pain. Being burned or cut by fire and knives does not lead to falling into evil realms in the next life, because stabbing oneself and entering the fire is a promise.
