Va is dependent on a pleasant place. Or, it is for the sake of desiring happiness. Therefore, because of hating it, he spoke conflicting harsh words. To show that, he recited the verse, "If things are like that." If it is like that, if it has a cause, then the subject is not established, so it does not admit the cause of things, in order to conclude that there is no fault in killing the monkey. "If" refers to relying on the cause previously shown. "If" means that even if things are established as having a cause, just as other things have no cause, so too, killing the monkey has no cause. If that is the case, why do you revile me? How can you be displeased with me? To show that very displeasure, he said, "Why do you attribute the faults of others to me?" The faults of others are the faults of Ishvara. This verse, "All great sins," shows the fault of contradicting the previous position of admitting that killing the monkey is a sin. This, "That great monkey hero died," shows the fault of the established tenet. Or, it shows the fault of those two contradicting each other. If Ishvara is the maker of all beings, then all the efforts of beings are meaningless, starting from that, he recited the verse, "Relying on Ishvara." Ishvara, the maker of all, is not the cause of the maker, to show the fault of Ishvara's making, he recited the verse, "All great sins." By that very fault, this verse shows that Ishvara himself does not exist. Or, to show that if he does not do it because of falling, it contradicts the established tenet, he recited the verse, "All those fearing sin." To that which is considered to be the great Ishvara himself, to show that there is no great Ishvara, he recited the verse, "That Ishvara is changing." Is Ishvara himself with cause or without cause? If it is with cause, then it becomes the cause of Dharma.

Or it is a cause that is a further cause than that. If it is the cause of Dharma, then there is no Ishvara before Dharma. If Ishvara creates another Ishvara, then Ishvara will also decline, therefore it is not Ishvara. Otherwise, if it is the cause of Ishvara itself, then there is no fault of contradiction with the previous promise that killing the monkey king is sinful. If the verse "Everything is caused by previous karma" is to show the contradiction with the previous promise to admit that killing the monkey is sinful. If the verse "If everything is done by previous karma" is stated, then "Why blame me" is because of my sin. If "If I have the sin of killing the monkey," then this half verse is to show the decline of the established tenet. If it is shown that karma and the cause of karma exist, then it is caused by the karma previously mentioned. If it is thought that what karma caused the act of killing that monkey, then it will lead to the fault of no liberation, to show this, it is said, "If karma and the cause of karma exist." The act of killing the monkey is also caused by another act of killing the monkey. Since that is other and other, it will lead to the fault of no liberation, because the karma is not followed. If it is said, "It is certain that it is caused by previous karma," then other causes and conditions, both happiness and suffering will cease, because that other cause and condition will also cause the cause of suffering to become happiness, and happiness and suffering will not change like that, this verse is also to prevent this, that is, the approaching cause and the act of the person who is happening now, that is, the cause of the place of the approaching place and the act of the person who is happening now. In order to show the happiness and suffering of that approaching place itself, the verse "If the cause of suffering becomes happiness" is stated. The cause of suffering is unpleasant, therefore both happiness and suffering

Because it arises from what is agreeable and disagreeable. The term "certainty" means without a doubt. The term "done by previous actions" refers to what is done by the previous actions themselves, meaning it is not due to other causes. "Happiness and suffering do not become like that either." The first half of this first sentence is to summarize the meaning just stated. The second half of the verse is to point out the fault of things due to the condition of the person who is doing it now. "Like that" means that happiness and suffering are due to the appearance of agreeable and disagreeable objects. If someone says that happiness and suffering are not caused by previous actions, even if they say so, happiness and suffering arise from the condition of the object, thus eliminating the actions done by the person who is doing it now. To show the fault of not having it, it is said: "How will newly created actions change?" meaning. If the newly created action is not accomplished, is there a fault? To show its fault, it is said: "If it is not accomplished, how will the previous one be accomplished?" This means that if it is not accomplished, it means that the newly created action is not accomplished. "All" refers to killing monkeys and so on. "Done by me" means that it is unreasonable to think that these things done by previous actions are done by me. In order to show the contradiction with the previous statement that killing monkeys is sinful, the verse "If you think that annihilationism is the truth" is said. "What to abandon" means why to abandon. "What to strive for" means why to strive for. Or the word "what" is an interrogative word. Whatever is appropriate to act as one pleases, it is appropriate to act as one pleases, because there is no fault or merit of abandoning and relying on sins and virtues. Even so, if you think that you will be afraid of the criticism of worldly people, it is also said: "Are you frightened by the mockery of beings?" This is to say, the worldly
