The means of aversion is for the sake of aversion. Whoever has the appearance of being tame, stable, and vast is a person who is tame, stable, and has a vast appearance, abiding in one direction. Speaking sweetly, honoring, and preparing a seat are speaking sweetly, honoring, and preparing a seat. Whatever is speaking sweetly, honoring, and preparing a seat, that is speaking sweetly, honoring, and preparing a seat. Alas, look at your joy in the Dharma! Why is there joy? Because while dwelling in the forest of asceticism, the great monkey was eliminated. Alas, to be able to strive is because the great monkey was killed. To be powerful means ability, because having practiced asceticism single-mindedly, the body has also become weakened. "The nature of beings, thus you say." This verse means that if these beings are of their own nature, then killing the monkey is also of its own nature. Having assumed this, the verse "If there is sin" is spoken. This verse shows that if there is sin, then for these beings, it is shown that there is a cause, which is in terms of what is established. Regarding this, having made a temporary vow, and saying that there is sin, this shows that they are mutually contradictory. Now, in order to show that the example is not established, the verse "If the lotus stalk grows" and so on is spoken. If the growth of the lotus stalk and so on is without cause, why does it not always appear? What is the cause of the growth of lotus leaves and so on? It is because there are conditions such as water, and it is caused by the cause of the seed. How is it known? Because it arises from nothing. Because there is water and so on, the lotus stalk and so on will exist, and if there is no water and seed and so on, it will not arise. Why is that? Because by the characteristics of cause and effect, the wise ones think so in a rational way. Where it arises without cause, where it arises, and where it does not arise, that is with cause and without cause. Among them, the verse "In some places" and so on

In short, regarding this, for the time being, the verse "In some cases" shows a contradiction with the previous view. The second verse shows a contradiction with the established tenet. The third verse shows that the example is not established, because "The cause does not exist either, it is always said." These three verses are in terms of one's own situation, so-called "unseen" means not understanding. So-called "by that alone" means by not seeing the cause alone. If it is said that all things have no cause, then it is shown to those who see the cause as having no cause, that is, clearly seeing that it has a cause. "Clearly seeing that it has a cause" means that those things that have a cause are clearly seen as having a cause. Therefore, due to hatred, one speaks contradictory evil words. So-called "speaking contradictory evil words" means speaking contradictory evil words. Evil words here refer to one's own vow, meaning contradicting one's own vow, that is, contradicting direct perception. In order to cut off the meaning of the previous bad vow, it is shown as contradictory and bad. Now it shows the bad vow that contradicts direct perception. When showing "In some cases, due to not seeing the cause and conditions," it means "How is it that even though there is a cause, it is not understood?" In order to show that even though there is a cause, it is not understood, the verse "If nowhere is the cause seen" is spoken. For those things for which the cause is not seen, it should not be said here that there is no cause. Why? Because even though it exists, it appears invisible due to other conditions. For example, at night, the sun's disc exists, but because it is in a very hidden position, it is not seen due to other conditions, which is an invisible cause. When showing "Clearly seeing those with cause," in order to show how clearly seeing those with cause, the verse "A pleasant object is because of wanting happiness, it relies on" is spoken. The opposite of this is contrary to happiness, which means an unpleasant object. Therefore, also "rely on kings."
