嬉戏之心仍未满足，女子们眼望鲜花树木，观赏无量宫殿心生爱恋，犹如莲花箭射中渴望的蜜蜂。国王看到了这无比的美丽景象，杜鹃发出醉人的鸣叫，孔雀翩翩起舞，蜜蜂吟唱，年轻女子们轻声细语，歌唱舞蹈，她们在那里显得格外美丽。深沉的雷声如同擂响的鼓声，众多孔雀发出清脆的叫声，以精湛的技艺翩翩起舞，国王觉得孔雀的舞姿美妙绝伦。她们与王妃们一同在如同森林花园般的场所享乐，沉溺于嬉戏，被欲望所支配，在绿树成荫、景色优美的无量宫殿旁，铺设精美的床榻，然后躺下进入了梦乡。之后，妃子们得知国王已经入睡，因为对美丽的森林充满爱恋，观赏美景也无法满足，所以兴高采烈地前往那令人愉悦的地方。饰品发出叮叮当当的声响，发出美妙动听的声音，她们四处游荡。那些伞盖、拂尘、坐垫等用黄金装饰的物品，都由侍女们拿着。带着权势象征的侍从们紧随其后，女人们仪态万千，四处游走。她们采摘着优良树木上的鲜花和娇嫩的绿叶，侍女们来不及采摘，便因爱恋而亲自采摘。树叶摇曳的树木和藤蔓，道路附近的盛开的鲜花，即使已经被鲜花花环装饰，也因为爱恋而不采摘，不舍得丢弃。之后，国王的妃子们从那令人愉悦的森林中，心神不定地逐渐离开，最终来到了忍辱仙人的苦行林。守护女人的守门人们，深知那位贤者的苦行威力强大，而妃子们是国王的恩宠，难以违抗，所以即使不愿也无法阻止她们。那苦行林被清扫得干净整洁，景色宜人，妃子们如同被吸引一般来到了那里，在那里，贤者

Their hearts were not satisfied with mere play. The women gazed at the flowering trees, and their hearts were filled with longing as they looked upon the immeasurable palace, like a lotus arrow piercing a yearning bee. The king beheld this exquisite beauty. The intoxicated sounds of the cuckoos, the dancing peacocks, the singing bees, and the young women speaking softly, singing, and dancing, made that place appear exceedingly beautiful. The deep sound of thunder was like the beating of drums. Many peacocks emitted clear cries, and they danced with skillful artistry. To the king, the peacocks' dance seemed wonderful. There, with the queens and their retinue, they experienced the bliss of frolicking in a forest-like garden. Exhausted from playing and driven by desire, they lay down on fine bedding spread near the immeasurable palace, in the shade of the beautiful trees, and fell asleep. Then, the queens, knowing that the king had fallen asleep, and because their hearts were filled with love for the beautiful forest, and they could not be satisfied with merely looking at it, joyfully set out for that delightful place. Their ornaments made tinkling sounds, and they emitted sweet, melodious voices as they wandered everywhere. Umbrellas, yak-tail fans, cushions, and other items adorned with gold were carried by the maids. Attendants bearing symbols of power followed behind, and the women, with graceful bearing, roamed about. They plucked flowers from the excellent trees and tender green leaves that were within reach. The maids could not keep up with the picking, so they themselves plucked them out of love. The trees with swaying leaves and the vines, and all the flowers blooming near the paths, even though they were already adorned with garlands of flowers, they did not pluck them out of love, and they did not discard them. Then, the king's queens, with their minds wandering from that delightful forest, gradually departed from within the forest and eventually arrived at the hermitage of the Sage of Patience. The gatekeepers who guarded the women knew that the power of that Sage's asceticism was great, and the queens were greatly favored by the king and difficult to control, so even though they did not want to, they could not prevent them. That hermitage was well-swept, delightful, and pleasing to the mind. The queens, as if drawn there, arrived, and there, the Sage...

那位至尊虽然显现得非常寂静调柔，但由于极其深邃，如同苦行的光辉在燃烧一般，难以亲近。由于习惯了禅定，即使美好的欲妙之境就在眼前，也因诸根调伏而不为所动，显得非常庄严。他如实亲见正法，吉祥且具福德，我看到他坐在树下铺设的坐垫上。之后，那位国王的妃嫔们被他的苦行之光所震慑，一见到他，就舍弃了轻浮、嬉笑和贪欲，变得调柔恭敬，来到他面前顶礼供养。他也对她们说了“你们来得好”等悦耳之语，以令宾客欢喜的礼节款待她们，从询问疾病开始，引出话题，用妇女容易理解的、带有比喻的佛法故事来招待她们。获得了暇满人身，同样也具足未损的诸根，然而死主却不会因此而放过你，放逸的人们，每天都会被欺骗。如果没有修习布施和持戒等善行，即使拥有高贵的出身、美貌和青春等优点，以及强大的力量和富有的财富，来世也不会获得安乐。即使出身低贱，但不贪着罪恶，且具足布施和持戒等功德，就像夏季河流注入大海一样，来世必定会增长安乐。无论是高贵的出身、美貌和身体的优点，还是强大的力量和富有的财富，如果拥有功德，今生也会成为庄严，就像金项链彰显富人的身份一样。鲜花是树木的庄严，闪电是雨云的庄严，蜜蜂聚集的莲花是湖泊的庄严，卓越的功德是众生的庄严。无病长寿、财富、美貌和高贵的出身，这些上、中、下等各种差别的人们，并非自然而生，而是由他者所生。

That supreme one, although appearing very peaceful and subdued, is difficult to approach because of his extreme profundity, like the blazing glory of asceticism. Because he is accustomed to meditation, even when beautiful objects of desire are near, he is beautiful because his senses are subdued and undisturbed. He is seen sitting on a mat spread under a tree, as if he has directly seen the Dharma, auspicious and endowed with merit. Then, the king's consorts, overwhelmed by the splendor of his asceticism, immediately abandoned frivolity, smiles, and desires upon seeing him. They became gentle and respectful, approached him, and paid homage. He also spoke pleasant words to them, such as "It is good that you have come here," and treated them with the etiquette that makes guests happy. Starting with asking about their health, he initiated conversations and entertained them with Dharma talks that were easy for women to understand, using examples. Having obtained a human body with leisure and endowments, and also possessing intact faculties, death will certainly not spare you. Those who are heedless will be deceived every day. If you do not cultivate generosity, discipline, and other virtues, even if you have noble birth, beauty, youth, strength, and wealth, you will not obtain happiness in the next life. Even if you are of low birth, but do not cling to evil, and possess virtues such as generosity and discipline, like rivers filling the ocean in summer, happiness will certainly increase in the next life. Whether you have noble birth, beauty, and physical qualities, or great strength and wealth, if you have virtues, they will be an adornment in this life, just as a golden necklace shows the status of a rich person. Flowers are the adornment of trees, lightning is the adornment of rain clouds, lotus flowers with swarming bees are the adornment of lakes, and excellent qualities are the adornment of beings. Freedom from illness, long life, wealth, beauty, and noble birth, these various distinctions of superior, middling, and inferior people, are not born from nature, but are born from others.
