Then he asked and said: Having generated compassion, after abandoning my life, for whom did I make the bridge? What are these many monkey groups that you have saved to you? Are you also one of them? If we can hear this, please tell the story of the monkey king leader. Do not forget those extremely friendly small causes and conditions. After that, the Bodhisattva, in order to answer the king's respectful and good questions well, showed who he was in an unsatisfied way: These people who listen to my words and are respectful have entrusted the heavy responsibility of the king to me. Therefore, I love them like sons. Because of entrusting the heavy responsibility, I do this. Great King, I and these people have been connected like this for a long time. Because of being of the same clan, we are so friendly, and living together is like relatives. Hearing these words, the king was very surprised and said again: For the sake of ministers and other kings, those are not for the sake of the king. Therefore, for the sake of my servants, why did you abandon your body? The Bodhisattva said: Great King, it is not right to do that. The king's way of ruling is like that. I think my way of ruling is not good. Even unfamiliar people cannot bear suffering. If you abandon them, the suffering will be even greater. For people who are extremely respectful in their hearts, not to mention becoming relatives and friends. Seeing the monkeys extremely decayed, poor and sad, I will not consider achieving my own benefit, I feel very painful. Therefore, pull the bow fully, shoot sharp arrows, and without considering the fear caused by the sound of the bowstring, jump from that tree to this mountain. My retinue cried and shouted in extreme fear, urging me to the utmost. After carefully measuring the extent of the land, cut the rope and tie my feet. Jumping here again from that mountain, in order to save my retinue from this tree, I grabbed the branch that stretched out like an arm with my two hands.

That rope has been stretched to the extreme, And the branches of that tree have also been connected. My body is crushed without hesitation, By relying on me, the retinue is liberated in peace. Then, that king, seeing that great Bodhisattva still doing that in such a situation, became very happy, became very surprised, and said these words again: "My happiness is abandoned, Others suffer harm, But I endure it like that. What merit have you gained?" The Bodhisattva said: "Whatever I, the king, have done for a long time, Those sufferings I have completely dispelled. Therefore, my mind has become very joyful, Even if my body is cut off, it is fine. After the arrogant enemies are defeated on the battlefield, The body is wounded as if adorned with ornaments. The heroes are adorned with the weapons of heroes, Similarly, I gladly endure this wound. For those of the same kind, I am extremely respectful, With respectful prostrations and great reverence, Having obtained the power and happiness, My debt is repaid today. Therefore, I am separated from friends, Without happiness, without suffering. By acting like this, even if I die, This is like meeting with joy. Having previously bestowed favor, satisfied by repaying debts, Eliminating sorrow and suffering, obtaining a spotless reputation. Offering to the king, there is no fear of death, The holy ones bestow favor, and also remember kindness. The supreme of virtues, these virtues, Experiencing this suffering, I will obtain. If one relies on a master without compassion, One will obtain aspects that are incompatible with it. Those who have no merit and no fame, Who have become the place where sins arise, From the blazing fire of hell, extremely turbulent, What other place is there to go? Therefore, the power of your merits and faults, I have shown well. The splendor of the gods and beings also have a feminine nature, Therefore, please govern the kingdom with Dharma.
