I have fallen into the abyss, I have no savior. Do not grieve thinking you have no relatives or friends. What can your relatives do for you? I will do everything, do not be afraid. Thus, the great Bodhisattva let the man catch his breath, and then gave him some wood tinder fruit underneath, and in order to be rescued, he accustomed him to carrying stones weighing as much as a person. Then, thinking that my strength had recovered and that I would surely be able to rescue this man, I entered that abyss. Driven by compassion, I said to the man: Come, ride on my back. After you go up, from your own body, until you get out, hold on tightly. Whatever the wise do for the benefit of others, the holy ones want to take the essence from a meaningless body. He listened, said "I will do so," then prostrated and rode on it. Then, after the man rode on, even though he was pressed down by an extremely heavy burden, he did not lose his stability due to his great courage, and with great suffering he carried him up. After he went up, he became very happy. Because of fatigue and weakness, his steps faltered. On a stone slab like a blue rain cloud, he lay down to recover from his fatigue. Then, the Bodhisattva, whose nature was completely pure, and in order to help him, did not suspect that the man would do evil, and cautiously said to him: In this place where there is no liberation at all, fierce beasts will come without hindrance. Some may kill me and you for their own benefit, or be killed by sleep because of fatigue. I am tired and my body is also very weak. Therefore, I want to sleep a little. So, you look around and protect both me and you. Then, the one who was skilled at pretending to be tame said: Please rest comfortably until you wake up comfortably again, I will be here to protect you. Thus he instructed him. Then, the great Bodhisattva fell asleep due to fatigue, and the man thought in his heart: Even the roots found through great effort, and the forest fruits found at will, have become so exhausted.

If a beast's body, even just making a living is difficult, so one should look at it this way. This monastery is also difficult to be liberated from, without power, how can one be liberated? If one can be liberated from this difficult-to-traverse monastery, with this flesh I will recover. Even if it benefits, it is permissible to eat it. The nature of this thing is just like that, if one falls into poverty, then one is practicing this Dharma. Therefore, this can be used as road provisions. Until one puts down the burden and falls asleep peacefully, in the meantime I can kill it. If one were to fight with it first, then even lions would have to be defeated. Therefore, I should not delay this matter. Having decided thus, that evil self is blinded by the fault of attachment, without kindness, losing the thought of Dharma, completely abandoning the nature of compassion and pity, extremely attached to doing unnecessary things. Lifting a large stone, he threw it at the head of that great monkey. Then, that monkey was both weak and unstable, and because the need was great, he was in a hurry, in order to wake it from sleep with that stone, as if throwing, that monkey woke up. The stone did not hit completely, its head did not turn into powder, the final edge injured it, and it fell on the slate like hail. The throwing of the stone did not crush the head, the Bodhisattva quickly jumped up, thinking who is going to kill me? He saw that man sitting there ashamed. Ashamed, he lost his radiance and courage, unhappy, his face also changed, his voice became hoarse with fear, his mouth also dried up, dust flew, and he could not even look. Then, that great monkey thought, it must be this person who did this, having determined it in his mind, disregarding the pain of being beaten, and not looking at whether he was doing good to himself, but disgusted and compassionate towards the person who was doing intolerable things, without the fault of anger and strife, with tears in his eyes, looking at that person, he said sadly: Good person, although you have become a human, you have done this to me. What did you think you were doing, and how did you start? Causing harm to me, is
