被安置于清净道后，即从那里飞向天空。那些人们合掌，恭敬地顶礼膜拜并供养后，又返回到寺院的所在地。因此，圣者们对于施予恩惠心怀感激，习惯于忍耐，即使没有受到礼敬，对于先前施予恩惠者，慈爱之心也不会减弱。所以，仅仅因为没有受到礼敬，就不应该忘记先前的恩惠。同样，世尊未证得圆满正觉之时，也曾以威力压倒外道论敌，调伏众生。赞颂佛陀功德时也应如此宣说。同样，不应随顺邪见，也不应依赖罪恶之源，因此，也应将此用于贬斥邪见。反之，也应将此用于赞叹正见的功德。菩萨本生传第二十三品。圣者们对于作害之人，如果他们从善的方面退失，内心所感受到的痛苦，不会像自己的痛苦使内心感到痛苦那样。例如，菩萨曾经，在雪山，那装饰着各种各样宝物的山坡，茂盛的森林如同用拘睒弥的蓝色丝绸做成的上衣一样，各种各样的瀑布，颜色和形状各异，如同特意陈设的一样，树下的悬崖被各种各样的阶梯装饰着，各种各样的河流从许多地方流淌下来，有许多狭窄险峻的峡谷，众多的蜜蜂发出嗡嗡的声音，树木上长满了各种各样的花朵和果实，清凉宜人的微风吹拂着，如同用扇子扇风一样，在适合持明者嬉戏的地方，据说有一只大猴子独自游荡。即使在那样的境地中，对佛法的认识也没有减退，对于报恩，具有欢喜的本性，非常坚定，就像依恋它一样，没有舍弃慈悲心。

Having been placed on the path of purity, they flew into the sky from there. Those people folded their palms, respectfully prostrated and made offerings, and then returned to the location of the monastery. Therefore, noble beings are grateful for favors bestowed, accustomed to patience, and even if they are not revered, their loving-kindness towards those who previously bestowed favors will not diminish. Therefore, one should not forget previous favors merely because one has not been revered. Similarly, even when the Bhagavan had not yet attained perfect enlightenment, he subdued opposing heretics with his power and tamed sentient beings. When praising the qualities of the Buddha, one should also declare it in this way. Similarly, one should not be attached to wrong views, nor should one rely on the source of sin. Therefore, this should also be applied to the disparagement of wrong views. Conversely, this should also be applied to the praise of the merits of right views. The twenty-third chapter of the Jataka Tales of the Bodhisattva. Noble beings, if those who harm them decline from the side of virtue, the pain they feel in their hearts will not be as painful as their own suffering makes their hearts feel. For example, a Bodhisattva once, on the slopes of the snow mountain, which was adorned with various kinds of treasures, the lush forest was like an upper garment made of Kausambi's blue silk, various waterfalls, with different colors and shapes, were like specially arranged displays, the cliffs under the trees were decorated with various kinds of steps, various rivers flowed down from many places, there were many narrow and dangerous canyons, many bees made buzzing sounds, the trees were full of various kinds of flowers and fruits, and the cool and pleasant breeze blew, like fanning with a fan, in a place suitable for vidyadharas to play, it is said that a large monkey wandered alone. Even in such a state, the understanding of Dharma did not diminish, and towards repaying kindness, possessing a joyful nature, being very steadfast, just like being attached to it, he did not abandon compassion.

森林、山峰、大海遍布的土地，最终被火、水、风毁灭了无数次。菩萨的慈悲心却丝毫未减。伟大的圣者以森林中的树叶和果实为生，慈爱那些生活在与他一样的生活方式中的众生，并居住在那片寺院的区域。之后，一个人为了寻找丢失的牛而四处游荡，迷失了道路，迷失了方向，来到了这个地方。他因饥渴、炎热和疲劳而身体虚弱，不悦的心情折磨着他的内心，悲伤的重担压得他喘不过气，他坐在树下，看到了一些成熟掉落的黄色丁度树的果实。他尝了尝，因为饥饿难耐，觉得非常美味。为了找到果树的来源，他兴高采烈地四处寻找，看到一棵丁度树生长在悬崖边，成熟的果实压弯了树枝，呈现出黄色。因为想要得到那些果实，他攀登了那座陡峭的悬崖。当他爬上那棵果实累累、树枝向悬崖边倾斜的丁度树时，为了摘取果实，他爬到了树顶。这时，那棵树的树枝，被沉重的重量压弯，又细又弱，就像被斧头从根部砍断一样，发出声响断裂并坠落。他也随之坠落，掉进了一个四周环绕着岩石、像井一样的山谷深处。因为树叶茂密，而且还有一片浅水，所以他的身体没有受到任何损伤。他从水中站起来，环顾四周，没有看到任何可以逃脱的道路，他心想：我今天就要死了，没有任何生存的希望。悲伤的泪水模糊了他的脸庞，极度不安的情绪折磨着他，他心灰意冷，开始发出各种哀叹。

A land filled with forests, mountains, and oceans, ultimately destroyed countless times by fire, water, and wind. Yet, the compassion of the Bodhisattva never diminished. The great being, content and capable, lived on only the leaves and fruits of the forest trees, cherishing all creatures who shared his way of life, and resided in that monastic region. Then, a man, wandering in search of his lost cow, lost his way and direction, and arrived at this place. His body was weakened by hunger, thirst, heat, and fatigue; an unhappy mind tormented his insides; and burdened by the weight of sorrow, he sat beneath a tree. He saw some ripe, fallen Tindu fruits, yellow in color. He tasted them and, feeling extremely delicious due to his hunger, he searched around, filled with joy, to find the tree from which they came. He saw a Tindu tree growing on the edge of a precipice, its branches laden with ripe fruit, bent low and yellow. Desiring those fruits, he climbed the steep cliff. As he climbed the Tindu tree, its fruit-bearing branches drooping towards the cliff's edge, he reached the top of the tree to pick the fruits. Then, that branch of the tree, weighed down by its heavy burden and being thin, broke and fell with a sound, as if deliberately cut from the root by an axe. He, along with it, fell into a deep ravine surrounded by rocks, resembling a well. Because of the thick foliage and a shallow pool of water, his limbs suffered no injury. He stood up from the water, looked all around, and seeing no way to escape, he thought: 'I will die today, without any hope of survival.' Tears of sorrow covered his face, tormented by extreme unease, and disheartened, he began to utter various lamentations.

托！ 森林深处寂静难行， 凡人难以到达的地方， 我竟落入这般境地， 无论如何也难逃一死。 亲友眷属尽皆远离，孤身一人。 遍布苍蝇，群蝇聚集之地。 落入深邃的峡谷之中。 宛如野兽，谁能将我救起？ 园林、森林、楼阁，各种各样的湖泊， 珍宝、璀璨的光芒、美丽的云朵，美好的事物， 犹如黑方黑暗般的阎罗死主， 让我对这一切都毫无感觉。 如此这般，那人吟诵着这些哀叹，靠着与我一同坠入水中的丁度树的果实为生，暂时在那里停留。 之后，伟大的猴王寻找食物，在那片森林中来回走动， 丁度树枝的顶端被风吹动，摇曳着，仿佛在召唤，于是它来到那里。 它爬上那悬崖边，看到那人因饥饿而眼眶深陷，面色憔悴， 身体瘦弱，苍白无力。 看到他挣扎翻滚，费力挣扎， 那人贫困潦倒，痛苦不堪，猴王心生怜悯。 于是停止寻找食物，长时间地观察那人， 用人类的语言说道： “你身处这非人可逃脱的， 悬崖峭壁之上。 为何来到此处，你是谁？ 应当好好说来。” 之后，那人转向猴王，恭敬地合掌行礼，注视着它，说道： “神啊，我是一个人。 迷路后在森林中游荡， 寻找这树的果实， 遭遇了这般不幸。 因此与亲友眷属分离。 遭遇如此巨大的不幸， 众多猴群的庇护者啊， 恳请您也成为我的救护者。” 听到这些话，那位伟大的菩萨生起了极大的慈悲心。 身处困境，与亲友分离， 合掌以卑微的姿态祈求， 即使是敌人也会生起怜悯之心， 更何况是慈悲之人，定会动摇慈爱之心。 之后，菩提萨埵以慈悲的目光注视着他， 在那样的时刻，用珍贵而柔和的言语安慰他。

To! The secluded forest monastery is difficult to access, A place where ordinary people cannot reach. I have fallen into such a state, No matter how I try, I cannot escape death. Separated from all relatives and friends, I am alone. A place where many flies gather. I have fallen into the mouth of a deep ravine. Like a wild animal, who will rescue me? Gardens, forests, pavilions, various kinds of lakes, Precious jewels, bright light, beautiful clouds, and all living beings, The Lord of Death, like the darkness of the black side, Makes me feel nothing for all of these. Thus, that man uttered these laments, and lived on the fruits of the Tindu tree that fell into the water with me, staying there for a while. Then, the great monkey king, searching for food, went back and forth in that forest, The tip of the Tindu tree branch was moved by the wind, swaying as if beckoning, so he came there. He climbed to the edge of that cliff and saw that the man's eyes were sunken from hunger, his face was haggard, His body was thin, pale, and weak. Seeing him struggling and striving, The man was poor and miserable, and the great monkey felt compassion. So he stopped searching for food and observed the man for a long time, Speaking in human language: "You are in this place where humans cannot escape, On this cliff. Why did you come here, who are you? You should speak well." Then, the man turned to the great monkey, respectfully prostrated and folded his palms, looking at him, and said: "O divine one, I am a man. Wandering in the forest after getting lost, Searching for the fruits of this tree, I have encountered such misfortune. Therefore, I am separated from relatives and friends. Having encountered such great misfortune, O protector of many monkey groups, I beseech you to also be my protector." Hearing these words, that great Bodhisattva gave rise to great compassion. Being in distress, separated from relatives and friends, Folding his palms and praying with humility, Even enemies would feel compassion, How much more so would compassionate beings, their loving hearts would be moved. Then, the Bodhisattva looked at him with compassion, At such a time, he comforted him with precious and gentle words.
