Having finished speaking, not being close and being too close, and excessive praise will lead to the loss of love. Therefore, regarding the faults of existence, this end of friendship, one should guard it, and I shall take my leave for now. The king said: If I cannot prevent you from leaving, please keep me in your heart and visit me here again, seeking me with your wise eyes. It is not appropriate for resentment to arise from being too close. The Bodhisattva said: Great King, these things that exist in the world have many obstacles, harms, and enemies, so it is not appropriate to stay long, and farewell is not suitable. If the time for farewell comes, I will behold your face. That great being pleased the king with gentle words, and the king treated him with respect, and then he left that country. That householder and close friend became uneasy in his heart, so he stayed in a monastery and devoted himself to meditation. After staying there, he soon attained the four dhyanas and the five supernormal powers. Having tasted the bliss of perfect peace, he felt a deep longing for the king, wondering: How is the king doing now? Then, he saw that those ministers were indulging in various views and had them observe. Some of the ministers cited examples that could not be investigated, thus leading to the view of causelessness. What is the cause of the lotus stem, leaves, flowers, heart, color, shape, and softness? Who painted the various patterns on the wings of birds? The nature of these beings is inherently so. Some argue that the wisdom of Īśvara (Īśvara, ईśवर, Īśvara, the Lord of Freedom) is the cause, believing that all of this could not have arisen without a cause. Because there is an omnipresent, boundless master here. He can create all kinds of things at will. If he creates the world, he will also destroy it together later. Others believe that all these happiness and unhappiness are caused by past karma, not by effort. Therefore, they allowed people to accept this view. Countless things exist separately, many things, how can one person accomplish them at the same time? Even those who bring happiness will suffer. Therefore, all of this

It arises from past actions. Others, with words of nihilistic views, say this in order to make them indulge in the enjoyment of desires: Trees with various forms, colors, and qualities, are not made by karma, yet they still arise. Cool waters also regenerate in the same way. The world is like that, so indulge in pleasure. Some proclaim that what comes from the royal lineage's scriptures, related to deceit and hostile tactics, lacking compassion, with faults, and contrary to the Dharma, is the law of the king. To those who rely on them, they are like shady trees. As long as the time of need has not come, they protect their reputation by repaying favors. When the need arises, they use them like sacrificial animals. Thus, those ministers led the king into those paths of wrong views. Then, the Bodhisattva thought that the king, relying on evil people and entrusting his mind to others, was about to fall into the abyss of wrong views, so he felt compassion for him and thought of a way to prevent him from falling. By habituating to qualities, all virtues, well-done deeds remain in the mind. Like water on a lotus petal, evil deeds do not cling. Then the Bodhisattva thought, "Now the time has come." He manifested a great monkey at his place of asceticism, peeled off its skin with his magical power, made it invisible to others, and then he himself put on the great monkey skin that he had manifested and went to the gate of the king's palace. The gatekeeper also announced it. The king's retinue was seated in order, without confusion, surrounded by those holding weapons. Ministers, Brahmins, messengers, and the main inner circle were full. The clothes of the people were stable, dignified, and spacious. The gatekeepers of the great palace were guarded by those holding swords and clubs. The lord of men came to sit on the lion throne. The king also performed the welcoming and other hospitality for the guest, laid out seats with pleasant words, and, greatly surprised by the one wearing the monkey skin, asked, "Holy one, by offering this monkey skin...
