From the ground. The Bodhisattva said: "What is it that you have not abandoned, despite its various agitations? Who is it that harms you? Just as rain covers the dust, what have you thoroughly pacified?" The Bodhisattva said: "Great King, please listen. What is it that, even when born, does not appear, while what is unborn is clearly virtuous? That anger that harms me, I have not lost it. Those people who desire no benefit, when will they be happy when they are born? That anger that makes enemies happy, I have not become angry with it. If one is born, one will not engage in the meaning of the holy ones. I do not dwell in that anger of the king who acts perversely. Whoever suppresses and abandons virtue, even if things are accomplished, they will decline. Anger is like being transformed by a cruel demon. Acting improperly is like being seized by a demon. If fire arises from rubbing wood, it will be completely burned. It is ignited by wrong thoughts. In the same way, anger destroys oneself. Like a blazing and burning fire, if there is no anger that torments the heart, abandoning it will bring bad reputation. Like the waning moonlight at dawn, without thinking of harming others, whoever regards anger as an enemy, their fame will surely increase. Like the clear rays of the waxing moon, anger has this great fault. There are others like this as well. When the fire of anger diminishes the complexion, even if adorned with ornaments, it will not appear beautiful. Even if one lies on a fine bed, the thorns of anger will cause suffering to the mind. Even if one accomplishes things that benefit me, being tormented by anger, one goes to the evil path. One declines from fame and accomplishment, like the face of the waning moon losing its splendor. Even if friends try to restrain one, one should not fall into the abyss of anger. If one loses wisdom from the mind of benefit and harm, one will mostly contradict and the mind will become deluded. Because anger is accustomed to the path of sin, one will experience suffering hundreds of times in the lower realms. What more can an enemy do to one who has done great harm and seeks revenge? This anger is internal.

of the enemy. Since I understand this, who can endure the power of that anger? Therefore, while I am alive, even if anger arises, it does not erupt. Who would easily abandon an enemy that destroys? Then, his extremely peaceful virtues and the words that hit the mark made the king's heart very happy, and he said: This order of your speech, and these words that are in accordance with peace, what is the use of saying more? If I had not met you, I would have been destroyed. After praising him in this way, he approached him, prostrated at his feet, and confessed the sins he had committed. He also asked for forgiveness from the ordained woman and then let her leave. He himself also vowed to become a servant of the Bodhisattva. Therefore, if anger is subdued, the enemy will be pacified; otherwise, the enemy will increase. Therefore, one should strive to subdue anger. In this way, if there is no resentment, the enemy will be pacified; if treated with gentleness, the flames of the enemy will increase. Similarly, a person who is not angry will accomplish the benefit of both sides. Like this, one should read the sutras that bring the benefits of patience. One should speak of the faults of anger and the greatness of the Tathagata Thus Gone). Chapter Twenty-one, the Tale of Tsugpud Born into Enlightenment. Volume Seven. Even the conduct of holy beings who have fallen into the animal realm cannot be imitated by non-holy beings. For example, in the great ocean of the Bodhisattva Wish-fulfilling Jewel, there is a large flock of geese, hundreds and thousands, numerous in number, whose master is the Goose King named Yulkhor Sung. It is said to be so. His minister, the Goose King, is skilled in distinguishing right from wrong, possesses the power of long-term memory, is the best among the noble lineages, adorned with learning, devotion, and taming, steadfast, pure, disciplined, upright in conduct, endowed with dignity, brave, able to endure suffering and cautious, skilled in battle tactics on the battlefield and fearless, loyal to the master, and as good as well-seeing, named Zang.
