萨。一只眼睛也给了他。然后国王把眼睛给了他，没有莲花的，像莲花湖一样的脸庞，因为别人没有而非常高兴。婆罗门也拥有了眼睛，被眷属们看见。国王的妃嫔、眷属和宫廷眷属们，悲伤的眼泪浸湿了整个大地。看到国王圆满菩提的坚定决心后，帝释天也非常惊讶和高兴。然后，帝释天因极大的惊讶而内心非常高兴，心想：唉玛，多么坚定和有勇气！唉玛，多么利益众生！即使这件事已经显而易见，似乎仍然有所怀疑。因此，不应该让这位令人惊叹的众生长期处于痛苦之中，应该想办法让他的眼睛重新长出来。然后，国王的眼睛的伤口逐渐痊愈。妃嫔的眷属和宫廷眷属的人们的悲伤逐渐减少。因为想要极度隐蔽，所以在池塘边，在被花朵的重量压弯的茂密的好树林里，凉爽的微风吹拂，舒适且散发着芬芳的香气，许多蜜蜂发出嗡嗡声的地方，他结跏趺坐着。这时，天神之王帝释天来到了他的面前。然后国王问道：“你是谁？”回答说：“我是天神之王帝释天，我来到你的面前。”（国王说：）“来得好，您有什么愿望，请吩咐。”这样说着，国王又说：“国王正直者，向我祈求你最想要的吧！”然后，因为这位国王习惯于布施而不习惯于乞讨，所以他坚定地笑着，不显得惊讶，而是以一种庄严的方式说道：“帝释天，我 拥有许多财富，军队强大且具有力量。现在我变成了瞎子，我只希望死亡。此外，乞讨者们心中所有的希望，都能够完全满足，从而变得非常高兴。因为看不见那些美丽的脸庞，所以，帝释，我宁愿死亡。”帝释天说：“高尚的人们会经历这样的事情，不要这样想。”

The Brahmin also had eyes and was seen by his entourage. The king's consorts, entourage, and palace entourage all soaked the entire earth with tears of sorrow. Seeing the king's firm resolve for perfect enlightenment, Indra was also very surprised and happy. Then, Indra, with great amazement, became very happy and thought to himself: Alas, how steadfast and courageous! Alas, how beneficial to sentient beings! Even though this deed is clearly evident, it seems there is still doubt. Therefore, it is not right to subject this amazing being to suffering for so long, but by some means, his eyes should be made to grow back. Then, the wound in the king's eye gradually healed. The sorrow of the consorts' entourage and the people of the palace entourage gradually lessened. Because he desired extreme solitude, he sat in the lotus position by the pond, in a dense, good forest where the trees were weighed down by the weight of flowers, where a cool breeze blew, comfortable and fragrant with sweet scents, and where many bees made buzzing sounds. Then, the lord of the gods, Indra, came before him. Then the king asked, "Who are you?" He replied, "I am Indra, the lord of the gods, and I have come before you." (The king said:) "Welcome, what do you desire, please command." Saying this, the king also said, "King, righteous one, ask me for whatever you desire most!" Then, because this king was accustomed to giving and not accustomed to begging, he smiled steadfastly, not appearing surprised, but spoke in a dignified manner: "Indra, I have much wealth, a large army, and power. Now that I have become blind, I only desire death. Furthermore, all the hopes in the minds of beggars are completely fulfilled, and they become very happy. Because I cannot see those beautiful faces, therefore, Indra, I prefer to die." Indra said, "Noble beings experience such things, do not think like that."

At that time, I was so happy with the words "begging" spoken by those beggars, as if saying auspicious words, may one of my eyes be able to see. Then, due to the power of the truth of that king's blessing and the special power of increasing merit, as soon as he spoke those words, he saw one eye, like a precious sapphire adorning the center of a blue lotus flower. Having seen that wonderful eye, the king's mind was very happy, and he said to Indra again: Whoever asks me for one eye, I will gladly give him one eye. If I am happy and joyful, and my mind is single-pointed, may I also have one eye. Then, as soon as he spoke those words, the king's other eye was restored as before. Then, the great earth with mountains shook. The waves of the ocean also occurred beyond the usual time. The gods struck the great drums, and a deep and melodious great sound resounded. All directions appeared clear and bright, and the sun appeared bright like autumn. Flowers anointed with sandalwood powder fell from the sky. The daughters of the gods and the gods with their retinues arrived there with their wonderful eyes wide open. Pleasing hailstones brought happiness and made the minds of beings happy. Those beings with great power and wonderful transformations, their minds filled with great joy, began to praise the king's supreme conduct, and beautiful words were proclaimed everywhere. Emaho! Great! Emaho! Great compassion! Look how pure his mind is! Emaho! He is not attached to his own happiness! Steadfast and supremely brave one, I prostrate to you! The lotus eyes have regained their splendor, you have well protected the beings! Emaho! A collection of merit!
