大船的船舷，也和阿那达龙的颜色相似，又看到和成熟的吉祥草的颜色也相似，感到非常惊奇，于是问善于度彼岸者：“犹如成熟吉祥草的叶子般的颜色，猛烈升起的风所吹动的波浪，如同布满泡沫和鲜花一样，这样存在的是什么海洋？”善于度彼岸者说：“各位船长，为了返回而努力吧！如果越过这里就不行了。这片具有吉祥草花环的海洋，如同没有铁钩的大象一样，难以忍受的流水，会夺走我们的快乐。”之后那些商人们虽然尽力努力，也没能使大船返回，于是也越过了那片海洋，又看到水的颜色是蓝色的，如同竹子的颜色和毗琉璃的颜色一样的另一片海洋，于是对善于度彼岸者说：“如同珍贵的酥油颜色一样蓝色的水，如同美丽的蓝色草地一样流动，装饰着如同睡莲一样的泡沫，这样存在的海洋是什么？”之后那位大士，因为那些商人变得痛苦而心中悲伤，不高兴地深深叹息，缓慢地说：“现在已经完全越过彼岸了，从这里返回非常困难，如同世界末日一样，这片海洋是香根草的花环。”那些商人听到那些话后不高兴，心如同融化的酥油一样，关节也咯咯作响，仅仅依靠深深地叹息，就在那里结束了。（经文）就是这样记载的。也越过了那片海洋，已经到了傍晚时分，太阳的光芒越来越小，太阳也好像落入海中一样，海洋也好像上下颠倒一样，海洋的水声也如同猛烈的冰雹降落，竹林被火烧着，顶端被火焰充满一样，听到巨大而令人恐惧的声音。听到那些声音后，非常害怕，心颤抖着，惊慌失措地站起来，向四面八方看去，看到巨大的水坑好像落入悬崖深渊中一样。看到那样的情况后，变得非常茫然，善于度彼岸者。

The sides of the great ship were similar in color to the Ananta dragon, and they were amazed to see that they were also similar to the color of ripe kusha grass. They asked the one who was skilled at crossing to the other shore, "What is this ocean that is like the color of ripe kusha grass leaves, the waves stirred by the fiercely rising wind, like a scattering of foam and flowers?" The one who was skilled at crossing to the other shore said, "O captains, strive to return! It is not right to pass beyond this. This ocean with a garland of kusha grass, like an elephant without a hook, the unbearable flow of water, will steal our joy." Then, although those merchants tried their best, they could not turn the great ship back, and they passed beyond that ocean. They saw another ocean where the color of the water was blue, like the color of bamboo and lapis lazuli. They said to the one who was skilled at crossing to the other shore, "Water as blue as the color of precious ghee, flowing like a beautiful blue meadow, adorned with foam like kumuta flowers, what is this ocean that exists like that?" Then that great being, saddened by the suffering of those merchants, unhappy, sighed deeply and said slowly, "Now we have completely crossed to the other shore. It is very difficult to return from here. Like the end of the world, this ocean is a garland of vetiver." When those merchants heard those words, they were unhappy, their hearts were like melting butter, and their joints creaked. Relying only on deep sighs, they ended there. Thus it is recorded. They also passed beyond that ocean, and it was evening, and the sun's rays became smaller and smaller, and the sun seemed to set in the sea, and the ocean seemed to be upside down, and the sound of the ocean water was like a fierce hailstorm, and a bamboo grove was burned by fire, and the top was filled with flames, and they heard a great and terrifying sound. Hearing those sounds, they were very frightened, their hearts trembled, they stood up in a panic, and looked in all directions, and saw a huge pool of water falling into a cliff abyss. Seeing that, they became very confused, and the one who was skilled at crossing to the other shore.

Having arrived in front of... he said: Our ears are splitting and our hearts are as if agitated by fear. This sound, like the wrath of the water deity, can be heard even from afar. All this water seems to be flowing forward in a terrifying gorge. What is this like an ocean? What do you think we should do about this? Then that great being became agitated and said, "Emaho, amazing, amazing!" Looking at the ocean, he said: Where do you go and not return? Like going into the mouth of the Lord of Death. We have not become fierce. This is the place of the ocean's engulfment. When those merchants heard those words, they thought, "We have arrived at the place of the ocean's engulfment," and feeling hopeless of survival and fearing death, their minds became agitated. Some burst into tears. Some recited lamentations and cried out. Some could do nothing. Some were so frightened that they lost their minds. Urged on by regretful hearts, some respectfully prostrated to the gods. Some sought refuge in the powerful sun, stars, and the wealth deity, the ocean itself. Some recited secret mantras. Others prostrated to the goddess. Some came before the Excellent Transcendent One (Tara), circumambulated her, and recited lamentations. You who give fearlessness to the impoverished, who benefit others, and accumulate merit, now is the time to apply your great and extraordinary power. We are helpless, impoverished, and seek refuge, therefore, please firmly consider saving us. This ocean is raging, and we, the place of the ocean's engulfment, will be swallowed like pills. It is impossible for you to abandon these people who are dying in the water. This ocean will not disobey your command, therefore, please stop it from this chaos. Then that great being, moved by great compassion, said to those merchants in order to encourage them: I see that there are some ways to remedy this, so for now, let us subdue it with compassion. Therefore, cheer up for a while! After saying that, those merchants thought, "There is a way to remedy this," and thinking this, they did not completely give up hope, and...
