Bhi-pa-ra-ka said: I am a subject with children and daughters, you are my lord and god. Therefore, looking at this servant girl, what is there that is contrary to the Dharma? Saying that this is a pity for me, if it is a pity, let it be. This is indeed a pity for me, but for the sake of it, I offer this to you. If you give away what is a pity, you will be very happy in the next life and obtain what is a pity. God, therefore please accept this. The king said: It is not right to do that, do not say that. Why? If wealth is obtained from practicing the Dharma, but it harms it, I would rather be struck by a sharp weapon, or enter a fire with sparks flying. A-bhi-pa-ra-ka said: If this is for the sake of following others, if the god does not accept, then let her exist in a way that is suitable for everyone, in the way of prostitution. Therefore, please god accept this. The king said: Are you drunk? If you abandon an innocent wife, I will punish you with punishment. If you become an object of condemnation, this life and the next will be burned. Therefore, for what cannot be done, do not be too stubborn, but like reason. A-bhi-pa-ra-ka said: If you are happy, my heart is happy, even if it is contrary to the Dharma. Even if people condemn and happiness disappears, I will endure all these with my stomach. Great landowner, in this world, I have not seen a more honorable guest than you. In order to increase my merit, please accept this intoxicating woman as you would accept the offerings of seasonal festivals. The king said: Because you love me so much, and do not even consider what is beneficial or harmful to me, this effort is for my sake. Therefore, I cannot abandon you even more. It is not right to do something without regard for the condemnation of the world. Look! Without regard for the condemnation of the world, without regard for the Dharma and the fruits of the next life, such a person will not be trusted, and will be completely abandoned by gods and wealth. Therefore, I also tell you, for the sake of life, do not like to go against the Dharma. The sin will become greater, do not eat ghost food, and be suspicious of small good deeds. Also.

Noble ones, if they cause suffering by slandering others, they will not achieve happiness for themselves. Therefore, I will not harm anything, abide in the Dharma, and accomplish my own benefit. Abi-paraka said: When a respectful subject acts for the sake of the lord, is there a time when we are not practicing the Dharma? What fault is there in what I have offered, called Lhasaba? Furthermore, what reason do the people of the land of Shivi have to say that this is not the Dharma? Therefore, please accept this offering. The king said: I acknowledge that you are very devoted to serving me, but it is necessary to examine who among the two of us and the people of the land of Shivi is the most knowledgeable about the Dharma. Then, Abi-paraka respectfully said to the king: Serving and honoring the elderly, being learned and having sharp intellect, and knowing the supreme benefit of the three realms, only you, the deity and great lord, possess these qualities. The king said: Therefore, you should not deceive me in this matter. Why? Because the benefit and harm to the world depend on the actions of kings. Therefore, with the thought of cherishing the subjects, one should delight in the supreme path that brings forth good reputation. Just as a leader of a herd walks or acts cunningly, those who follow have no doubt and follow without confusion, so too, the subjects follow the king. Furthermore, look at this: even I myself cannot protect, and when I am unable to do so, how will those people whom I wish to protect fare? Therefore, considering the benefit of the subjects and my own pure Dharma and reputation, I will not be swayed by emotions. Like a leader of a herd, I am the protector of the subjects. Then, the minister Abi-paraka, pleased with the king's steadfastness, prostrated to the king, joined his palms, and said: With you, the king who protects all, residing, alas! The subjects are blessed with perfect fortune. Practicing the Dharma and not being attached to happiness, such a one is rare even in a hermitage of asceticism. Great king, the sound of greatness, this is fitting for you, the king. Praising virtues in one who has no virtues becomes slander and harsh words.
