This girl's appearance is so captivating. If even the king should not see her, how could she be offered as a queen? Because her appearance is too beautiful, the king would forget to eat because of infatuation, thereby neglecting religious and political affairs. If the king's affairs are delayed, the people's interests and the path to happiness will be cut off, and the country will decline because of this. Just seeing her, For practitioners, it will also hinder accomplishment, For the eyes of the greedy, she is so young and beautiful, What more to say about the king who is at ease and comfortable? Therefore, they felt that the time had come, so they immediately went to the king's presence and said: Great King, I have seen that girl, her appearance is very beautiful, but she has bad omens and does not possess auspicious symbols. Flowers, umbrellas, victory banners, incense, powders, clothes, garlands, bathing, and the fragrance of perfumed incense filled the air. Many kinds of fine merchandise were displayed. The city was filled with people who were prosperous, joyful, and dressed in the finest clothes. As they passed through this magnificent city, they approached the vicinity of that minister's house. Then, the intoxicant seller thought, 'I have been abandoned by this king after being given a bad name.' Although her heart was saddened, she pretended to want to see the king, displaying her beautiful form. Like lightning flashing in the clouds, she made herself appear very bright on the rooftop and sat there. 'Now, if he sees someone with a bad reputation like me, his thoughts will be disturbed. I will see if I can control him or not,' she thought. Then, as the king was looking at the decorated city, he saw that girl standing before his eyes. Then the king said: 'On the palace top, a young and beautiful woman, her excellent body is seen to one's content, not haughty with delight in following the path of Dharma, diligent in taming the senses, possessing great qualities of reliance and knowing shame, not to mention looking at other women, desire arose and became greatly astonished, gazing at that woman for a long time with his eyes. Is this a kumuda flower? Or is it the deity of this house? Is she a goddess or a non-goddess's wife? This is not a human body!' Thinking thus, the king pondered and pondered, and as he looked at her, he was not satisfied. The chariot passed by that direction, and he became displeased. Then, the king, as if having lost his heart, became single-mindedly focused on her and went to his own abode, his desire becoming unrestrained. He secretly spoke to the charioteer, who was called Very Joyful: 'That house surrounded by white on the outside, do you know whose it is? Like lightning on a white cloud, who is that beautiful one there?' The charioteer said, 'There is a minister of your majesty named Abhiparaka, that house belongs to him, and that girl is his.'
