I am happy. The mantra for mastering qualities. Always undiminished, possessing power. If anger and agitation can be controlled, what need is there to mention ordinary minds? Then, in order to examine the wickedness of that abbot and all the disciples, during the fasting days, he always proclaimed the suffering of his own poverty. Poverty has no expected result. My family is silent, and I have never enjoyed happiness even on festive occasions. Alas, even words of generosity are scarce. Reproach, downfall, and changing residences are the cause of trouble and toil. Completely abandoning happiness, utterly lacking dignity. Like decay, he is always sorrowful. Becoming without wealth is extremely frightening. Then, those disciples, like urging a good horse with a whip, became displeased with the lama's love. Alms were very good and very plentiful. He said to them: The food from alms will not even alleviate anyone's poverty; abandon this trouble you are causing! If I cannot bear the trouble, then it is fitting that you strive to accumulate wealth. Why is that? For hunger and thirst, for food and water. Medicine accompanied by mantras will cure diseases. Constant wealth will lead to poverty. Seek wealth through skillful means, abandon poverty. The disciples said: We have little merit, so if we cannot obtain more than this much, what should we do? Furthermore, The abbot's wealth is also like alms. If we were to obtain it, how could we endure this suffering of poverty that you speak of? The Brahmins accumulate wealth, but the means of obtaining it are very few. This person is also unwilling to give. Therefore, without means, we are ruined. The abbot said: The Brahmins have other means of accumulating wealth that arise from the Vedas. I have become powerless due to old age and cannot practice those methods. The disciples said: Teacher, we have not become powerless due to old age. If you think that we can practice those methods that arise from the Vedas, please tell us. We will repay your kindness in upholding the Dharma. The abbot said: Even if young, it is difficult for those who do not strive in their hearts to accumulate such wealth.

Also, listen well when the time is right for you, there is a way to accumulate wealth, and what is that? When a Brahmin declines, he explains stealing as the Dharma. In the world, having no wealth is the worst of declines. Therefore, do not take the wealth of others when you see it. All of these are the wealth of Brahmins. Even if you are able to rob wealth openly, you must protect it with your own reputation. It is not right for you to do this. Therefore, accumulate wealth without being seen. In this way, he released the bonds, and those students listened to those unreasonable words, and agreed as if they were reasonable. Only the Bodhisattva was not like this. Because he was good by nature, he did not follow him. Those people agreed without thinking, as if it were something that could be done. The Bodhisattva lowered his head in shame, sighed slightly, and sat silently. Then, the Khenpo of those people saw that the Bodhisattva neither liked the ritual he had taught, nor did he refute it, and thought that this great being must have some merit, thinking: Is it that he cannot bear to do it? Or does he not love me? Or does he think that he cannot be a thief with the concept of Dharma? In order to examine his nature, he said to the Bodhisattva: Hey, great Brahmin! These Brahmins cannot bear my decline, so people rely on the path of the brave. You seem uninterested and foolish, and you must not be troubled by my decline. My suffering is widely proclaimed, expressed in words, and shown without concealment, why do you not strive to rely on it, and remain as usual? Then, the Bodhisattva respectfully prostrated and said to the Khenpo: May sins be pacified! It is not because I am not loving and hard-hearted that I am not troubled by the suffering of the Lama, it is not like that, but because the order taught by the Khenpo is impossible, that is why it is like this. There is nothing that can be done evilly without being seen by anyone. Why is that? Because concealment is impossible. When doing evil deeds, there is no concealment in the world.
