The king's good conduct is the foundation of merit, and all people behave uprightly. The power of great virtue overwhelms all obstacles, causing them to be completely extinguished. The seasons are also harmonious and peaceful, and the king is likewise devoted to the Dharma. Various kinds of grains grow on the land, and the four rivers are clear and full of blue lotuses. Sentient beings are no longer afflicted by great diseases, and the efficacy of medicines becomes very powerful. The influence of the seasons also brings the coolness of hail, and the movement of the stars becomes auspicious and smooth. There is no fear of other armies, and there is no harm or fear of war between each other. People will certainly practice the Dharma and become tamed, as prosperous as in the age of perfection. After that, the king made such offerings of the Dharma, and the suffering and harm of the poor people were greatly pacified. The land was filled with many extremely happy and illustrious people, appearing pleasing to the eye. The people of the world only recited the king's auspicious verses, and the king's reputation spread everywhere. A chief of ministers was overjoyed and reported to the king, saying: You always pay attention to the needs of the superior, the middling, and the inferior. Therefore, the wisdom of the rulers will become more and more profound. This is well said! Thus, in your presence, there has been no disaster of livestock dying. Through the offerings of the Dharma, you have benefited the subjects in both this life and the next. The suffering of harm and poverty has also been greatly pacified. Even if I say more, it is of no use. These subjects are truly blessed! Like the moon, your body is pure and bright, and the blessings of empowerment have not diminished your naturally beautiful demeanor in the slightest. Like an umbrella, your beautiful head remains high. Your generosity surpasses the fame of Indra, which is amazing. Most of the worldly offerings are killing and degrading, not offerings for seeking rewards, but your offerings are adorned with the glory of fame, in accordance with the purity of discipline and pleasing wishes.

Those beings who dwell where you, the protector, reside are fortunate. Even sons will certainly not protect their fathers in that way. Another said: Giving, means that it is under the control of the person who gives away wealth. Keeping the precepts also tends towards worldly happiness and is attached to the desire for higher realms. For the sake of accomplishing the benefit of others, whoever practices these two in that way, is not a wise person; those who lack mental strength do not possess them. Therefore, good thoughts cannot be deceived into doing evil, so one should strive to purify one's thoughts. Therefore, by striving to benefit the people, one obtains goodness, fame, and happiness. Therefore, it is completely inappropriate to act contrary to the king's laws. Similarly, the king's advice should also be spoken. By becoming accustomed to the Dharma, beings will become wealthy, therefore, desiring to become wealthy, one should follow the Dharma. It should also be combined in that way. Higher realms are attained by abiding in giving, taming, and restraint, but slaughtering animals will never lead to higher realms. Therefore, desiring that, one should strive to be respectful of giving and so on. The Blessed One in his previous life was also focused on practicing worldly benefits. The qualities of the Thus-Gone One should also be praised in that way. The tenth chapter of the Jataka tale of offering sacrifices. Summary: Tigress, Shibi, Koshala I, two merchants and a rabbit, Agastya and the giver of meat, all liberate and perform offerings. The first section. Great beings, whether they are in decline or possess perfect power, their compassion for sentient beings does not diminish. For example, a Bodhisattva who has been very accustomed to practicing merit for a long time, and is familiar with giving, taming, restraint, and compassion, and is very certain about the special act of benefiting others, is said to have temporarily become Indra, the king of the gods. The glory of the king of the gods depends on him, the great giver is even more magnificent, like the moonlight shining on newly plastered roof lime, it is bright.
