此，高尚者必定羡慕，如果不是羡慕就是欺骗。无需多说，像这样的人所拥有的这些人世间是有福的。像您这样辛劳，我们没有能与您相比的。即使这样，依靠像您这样的人，我们一定能够解脱。为了祈求我们所犯的过错，请允许我们祈求。获得安乐，舍弃王位之荣耀后，以如此之行径，您想要何等奇妙之境地？一切土地之主，或富裕之财物，或自在者，或梵天，或解脱者，您以这苦行想要什么呢？以如此之努力，您想得到的目的不会太远。如果我们可以听到，请您告诉我们。国王说：听着，我为何这样做。难以获得且容易毁灭，没有满足的安乐，没有完全寂静的，轮回的享受安乐我不要。天神的权势荣耀我也不想要，那之外的还用说什么呢？我仅仅为了痛苦止息，我的心不会满足。看到被无法忍受的痛苦逼迫的，这些无依无靠的众生，以此福德获得一切遍见之果位，战胜罪过的敌人后，想要从衰老、疾病和死亡的波涛汹涌的轮回之海中救度众生。之后，那些夜叉非常欢喜，汗毛竖立，向国王顶礼并说道：如此特别努力的行为是合理的。因此，像您这样的人成就所愿，不会太久，心中如此确定地想到，于是祈祷说：您的所有这些想法，虽然是为了利益世间，但也是为了利益我们自己，那时请您原谅我们。因为不了解，我们也没有看到自己的利益，所以您如此辛劳，也请您忍耐。您的命令也成为我们跟随的因缘，像对待大臣一样，请您毫无顾忌地赐予我们。

All lords of the earth, or wealthy possessions, or the independent one, or Brahma, or the liberated one, what do you want with this asceticism? With such effort, the purpose you want to achieve will not be too far away. If we can hear, please tell us. The king said: Listen, why I do this. Difficult to obtain and easy to destroy, without satisfying happiness, without complete peace, I do not want the happiness of samsaric enjoyment. I do not want the power and glory of the gods either, what else is there to say? My mind will not be satisfied just for the cessation of suffering. Seeing these helpless beings oppressed by unbearable suffering, with this merit, having obtained the state of all-seeing, having defeated the enemy of faults, I want to liberate beings from the turbulent ocean of samsara with waves of old age, sickness and death.
