Having become hot and lowered his head, he said to the Bodhisattva: Do not have such doubts about me. Even if I give up my life, I will offer these sacred objects to you. Whatever the king desires, please ask for it frankly. The Bodhisattva said: Then, please stop killing sentient beings with true asceticism, release all the imprisoned people, and it is best for you, warrior, to stop eating human flesh. Please give away these four supreme sacred objects. The son of Sudasa said: I offer the first three sacred objects to you, please allow me to replace the fourth sacred object with something else. I cannot not eat human flesh, didn't you know that before? The Bodhisattva said: Didn't I say that you cannot give away sacred objects? Alas, things turned out as expected. Hey, listen again. If you don't stop eating human flesh, how can you speak the truth? How can you, the king, not kill sentient beings? Even if I give up my life, I will give away these sacred objects, didn't you say that in the beginning? That's why things have become like this. If you kill people for meat, how can you not kill sentient beings? If that's the case, how can you give away the three sacred objects? The son of Sudasa said: Because of this, I lost the throne, suffered in the forest, fell away from the Dharma, and lost my reputation, how can I give up these? The Bodhisattva said: Therefore, you should not give up those. Because you have lost the Dharma and the kingdom, lost happiness and fame. How can you give up that source of destruction? Regret arises after giving, this is bound to happen to people with narrow minds, so you must also conquer it. Therefore, you should abandon following evil and should know yourself. Are you not the son of Sudasa? Meat that is examined and properly prepared by experienced doctors, grows in towns and temples, dry and wet lands, by the water and in the fields. There is such meat, satisfy your heart with those. It is best to give up condemned human flesh. The pleasant sound of drums is like the sound of thunder in summer.

The melodious songs and such a kingdom, relatives and sons, and beloved family members, having abandoned, what is there to be happy about in this solitary forest? A king should not be controlled by his mind, but should enter the path that does not harm Dharma and politics. A king alone abandons war and conquers the strength of the army. In order to cut off thoughts, do not be cowardly. The lord of men should also look to the next world, therefore, even if it is pleasant but not beneficial, one should not rely on it. One should rely on those paths that are pleasing and do not contradict fame, even if they are unpleasant, like taking medicine. After that, the son of Sudasa became very devout, his eyes filled with tears, his voice trembling, and he came before the Bodhisattva, grasped his feet and said: The pollen of the flower of merit, the fragrance of fortune, your fame pervades these beings. Like this sinful act, I have become the messenger of the Lord of Death, who else is as compassionate as you? You are my teacher, lama, and deity, I offer these teachings of yours with the crown of my head. From now on, I will no longer need human flesh, I will do as you say. For the sake of sacrifice, I snatched the princes, I imprisoned them in prison, they are not happy, their faces are haggard, their hearts are full of sorrow, all these will be abandoned and leave together. After that, the Bodhisattva listened to his words and said, "So be it." Then he went to the place where the princes were imprisoned. Those princes saw the moon-like son and looked at him. Thinking that we are saved, they became very happy. Those princes, seeing the moon, were very joyful, radiant, and very beautiful, like the autumn moonlight, the Kumuda flowers blooming, and the lake clear. After that, the Bodhisattva came before them and made them happy with breath and sweet words, therefore, those princes swore not to harm the son of Sudasa, and released them from prison. The son of Sudasa and those princes escorted them, each returning to their own throne, and served those princes and the son of Sudasa in the manner that was appropriate.
