After that, he stopped, fascinated by his beautiful and perfect body, staring at him with wide eyes, resting. Then, Bodhisattva recalled the Brahmin who came with eloquent words, uninvited, hoping to return to that garden and wait, thinking: Alas, how strange! For the eloquent one, coming from afar with a hopeful heart, after hearing that I was taken away like this, what would that Brahmin do? Would a desperate person burn his heart, tormented by unbearable great sorrow? Would he grieve and sigh for me? Would he blame himself for his small fortune? The Bodhisattva thought like this, his heart aching from the Brahmin's suffering, and out of compassion, tears flowed. Then, the son of Sudasa saw the Bodhisattva's eyes filled with tears, and said with a smile: Wait a moment! With those many virtues, you are known as very steadfast. However, if I controlled you, would tears flow like this? If lost, steadfastness becomes meaningless. If sorrow arises, hearing (the Dharma) is of no use. There is no sentient being that does not waver when struck. What he said is true. Therefore, please tell me honestly, is it life, or suffering, or the wealth that achieves happiness, relatives, or the rule of the king, the master of the people, that makes you sad? Is it the father who loves his child, or smoke, or the child himself? Remembering these, your eyes will be filled with tears. The Bodhisattva said: It is not for life, parents, children, relatives, and consorts that I shed tears, nor is it because I remember power and happiness. But because that eloquent Brahmin who came with hope, after hearing that I was taken away, must be suffering from despair, remembering these I shed tears. Therefore, please allow me to first appease that Brahmin who is distraught with despair, wash him clean with the water of respect, and then taste the nectar of his eloquent words, until next time. After I repay the Brahmin's kindness, I will come back to repay your kindness. Coming here, with your eyes, welcome me like a blooming lotus. This is the (opportunity) to escape.

thinking it was some kind of method. Do not harbor doubts in your heart. Kings like me also have other paths. Other people do not act in that way either. The son of Sudāsa said: Even if you speak so respectfully, it is not trustworthy no matter what. Who would come again after escaping from the mouth of the Lord of Death and living in peace? Escaping from the fear of the Lord of Death, freed from difficulties. Living comfortably in one's own home. Why have you come to me? Please tell me the reason for that. The Bodhisattva said: Why should you not believe that I have a great reason to come again? Didn't I promise to come again? Do not argue with evil people and harbor doubts. My name is Moon Boy. Some people, because of the fear of desire or the doubt of death, abandon speaking the truth like grass. Virtuous people value truth like life. Therefore, even if it is very precious, they will abandon it. Without truth, neither the happiness of this life nor life itself can protect from the evil realms. What is the source of joy, fame, and happiness? Who would give up happiness for what? If you have seen some kind of false behavior, or have not seen good behavior. Thus, not believing in the truth, what do you see in me that makes you suspicious? If you are afraid of me, or if you have no compassion because you are attached to happiness. Thinking bravely, known for violent behavior. Would you come to me holding a shield and weapons? You and your friends also desire it yourselves. After doing that Brahmin's work from here. I will come to you again. People like us do not tell lies. Then the son of Sudāsa, unable to bear the words of the Bodhisattva as if they were praising himself, thought: This is indeed speaking the truth and is also endowed with Dharma. Therefore, for the time being, let me see whether this person likes truth or likes Dharma. Furthermore, even if this person is gone, I can find a hundred sons of the Kshatriya caste with my own power. As promised, let them perform the sacrifice to the spirits. Then he said to the Bodhisattva: Okay, go, you have sworn to speak the truth, and the Dharma.
