Discipline, learning, generosity, compassion, gentleness, glory, patience, wisdom, steadfastness, and love, without arrogance, shame, great fortune, radiance, and fame. Those powerful and pure ones possessed those qualities, like being adorned with ornaments full of light. He became a place of perfect purity, vastness, and delight, like the rays of the moon. Then, because he was able to protect the people, was not stingy, and had a good nature, the king allowed him to enjoy the prosperity of a crown prince. Because he was very wise, those who possessed Dharma and spoke well were as precious as his gifts. Whoever spoke well to him was honored with special offerings. Then, that great being, one day, because it was the season of spring, in a garden near the city, the leaves of the trees became beautiful and soft. The budding flowers were like smiles. The earth was adorned with new green lawns, like a painting. The clear waters were covered with lotus and utpala petals, and many bees made joyful sounds. Cuckoos and peacocks made loud noises. Cool and pleasant breezes gently blew, making the mind very happy. Surrounded by a small army, he wandered around for amusement and went to another garden. It was a forest where cuckoos sang, a delightful garden with decorated pavilions. Various trees were laden with flowers, and he enjoyed watching and playing in the joyful garden. The women were accompanied by songs, drum sounds, and melodious instruments, skillfully moving their beautiful limbs.
