Possessing all perfections. Possessing the increasing radiance like pure gold. Captivating the eyes and minds of all beings. Virtuous. Gentle. Peaceful. Intelligent. Compassionate. Greatly virtuous. Desiring the Dharma. Kind to all beings, if he is killed, wouldn't the holy ones decline? Why does the Dharma decline? Why does the land of non-dharma become prosperous and abide in the sovereignty of royal power? Alas, suffering! His form and radiance, and the supreme of perfect ornaments, seeing and seeing again, we were exceedingly delighted before. Now seeing him seized by the executioner, overwhelmed by intense sorrow, we feel as if our hearts are about to break. Captivating the mind and eyes, the one who is pleasing to the minds of many people, why would the king inflict punishment upon him? Even if always gazed upon, sentient beings would not be satiated, why would the minister without compassion kill him? He who has conduct like the Sage, possessing the fame of gentleness, how could such a fault occur to him? Like this, separating from the one with qualities, it is common here, alas, an act against the Dharma! Is the Dharma dead or asleep? Those women are very fond of him, therefore some women, tormented by the suffering of separation from him, roll on the ground. Some beat their chests. Some lose their memory, each of them experiencing the suffering as if separated from their only child. That great person is pleasing to the minds of many people, therefore the multitude of people living in the city of Rajagriha, tormented by the suffering of separation from him, began to wail. Knowing that the city of Rajagriha was very agitated, and shaken by the suffering of separation from him. From the house of the merchant Sun, a daughter went on that great road, and when she heard what had happened, she beat her chest and cried out in lamentation, hurrying back home, searching for the golden youth.

Then she went and fell before him. Then, the golden youth gently asked, "Girl, who are you, tell me." She cried out loudly, "It is said that the king's son, the golden youth, killed a beautiful girl named Kashi in the garden." Without investigation, they bound his hands tightly with ropes, completely abandoning him to be executed. The executioners surrounded him, announcing the crime on the main road, in the market, at the crossroads, and at the triple junctions. They took him to the great cemetery, saying, "He will be executed soon." Hearing this, the mother of the golden youth was overwhelmed by sorrow and fainted to the ground. Then, people sprinkled water on her to revive her, and she cried out, "Alas, my son!" She tore her hair, beat her chest, trembled, and lost consciousness again and again, then came out of the city and went onto the main road. She was distraught with grief at being separated from her son, wailing and asking everyone, "Which way was the golden youth taken? Alas, my son, please save me, let me see you. Save me! Save me! Show me my son." She said this, heading straight to the middle of the main road. Just as the caravan leader's wife had not seen the golden youth, she was also tormented by unbearable suffering, crying out, kneeling at everyone's feet, and praying with folded hands, "Please save me! Please save me! Before the youth leaves this road, please quickly give me a chance. Please help me, so that I can see my son, the golden youth who was taken from this road." However, she did not get a chance, crying out, "Alas, I did not find my son!" She threw her whole body on the ground, rolling around like a fish taken out of water, crying sadly like a crane that has lost its young, and wailing like a cow that has lost its calf. She wailed, "Alas, my lovely, delightful son! Alas, I cannot bear it!"

Alas, how well-matched! Alas, the heart is filled with hope! Alas, what a beautiful form! How pleasing and beautiful to behold! Alas, possessing all perfect limbs! Alas, like the color of pure gold! Possessing an extremely radiant complexion! Alas, captivating the eyes and hearts of all beings! Alas, how pleasing to the hearts of all beings! Alas, making everyone happy! Alas, how intelligent, disciplined, and pure! Speaking pleasant and delightful words! Alas, how compassionate, desiring the Dharma! How pleasing to sentient beings! Alas, the lamp of my lineage! Alas, the most beloved in my heart! Alas, all of my heart! Alas, the collection of all my cherished things! Alas, the nectar of my eyes! Alas, the bond of my love! Alas, everything of my lineage! Alas, how could he be taken away to kill the helpless without investigation? Having said this, she again folded her hands and pleaded with the people of the city, saying in a pleasing voice: Alas, I am destroyed by the separation from joy! How shall I live now? Is this a dream or am I drunk? Or is my mind confused? The sorrow brought by my virtuous son, disturbed by intense pain, he repeatedly utters cries of lament. I plead to the people of the city. If it were one who is undisciplined or ugly, not pleasing to me, if my son had been taken away, you would be very indifferent. Favoring those with merit, if you have compassion, how shall I see my son? Please, people of the city, do this! Today I have not anointed myself with sandalwood and other perfumes, nor have I adorned my limbs with musk spots, nor have I decorated myself with many ornaments. Rings and other ornaments, I have not adorned myself with them today, nor have I been embraced, nor have I done many intimate things. Without circumambulating me, nor paying homage to me, without hesitation, in this way my son is taken away. Today I feel emptiness in all directions, my body trembles, my heart feels like it is being burned, and my mind is completely bewildered. The merciless executioner, hurriedly took away, this son who is so dear to my heart, alas! Alas! Never to be seen again.
