Now, whoever sees the world again and enjoys pleasure with the golden youth without repentance should be punished with such a penalty. The beautiful maiden named Kashi, upon hearing this, disregarding the pain of being pulled back and forth, with tears welling up and a trembling voice, said, "Alas, now I cannot live." Trembling, she knelt at the feet of the tyrannical minister and, in a small, pitiful voice, spoke each word carefully, "Son of the king, please forgive me! I am not worthy of being killed. The realm of women is always accompanied by faults, so from now on, I will not do anything here again. As long as I live, I will be your servant. Please grant me life without taking it rashly." That evil nature, even hearing such pitiful pleas, only made the flames of anger grow stronger. Then he said to his friend, "Quickly cut off her head with this sword and let her fall!" Hearing this, that man heard the unreasonable and evil words of that wicked person, and he began to tremble, thinking, "Alas, how merciless! This woman has been enjoyed by him in many ways, how can he want to kill her for such a small fault? Alas, I too, because of the fear and dread of survival, am staying with a wretch like a venomous snake. I am in a great predicament in every way. What should I do? Or should I speak plainly? If I speak plainly, perhaps I can prevent sin and unrighteousness." He was so distressed. At that moment, the woman, being very pitiful, calmed her mind, her eyes filled with tears, and with palms joined, she said to the tyrannical minister, "Master, please forgive me! It is not right to involve me in such an improper act. I am not without compassion, nor am I a murderer, so how can I be forced by my master to do something that even murderers are unwilling to do? This woman is very beautiful, pleasing to look at, beautiful, and known for being skilled in the arts, she is the king's consort.
