།དེ་ནས་དེད་དཔོན་རྣ་ཅན་གྱིས་འབྱོར་པ་དེ་ལ་བལྟས་ནས་ཆུང་མ་ལ་སྨྲས་པ། བཟང་མོ་ཞིང་གཤིན་པ་ལ་སྦྱིན་པའི་ས་བོན་བཏབ་པའི་མྱུ་གུ་འཐོན་པ་ལ་ལྟོས། དེ་ཡང་དགའ་བ་དང་མགུ་བ་སྐྱེས་ཏེ། ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམ་པར་གཟིགས་དེ་ལ་ཕྱག་བྱས་ནས་རྒྱན་དང་གོས་དེ་རྣམས་གནས་ཞིག་པའི་ཕྱེད་དུ་མ་དེར་གཞུག་པར་བརྩམས་སོ། །ཁྱེའུ་མི་སྡུག་པ་དེ་ཡང་ཕའི་སྐྱེད་མོས་ཚལ་དེར་ཞུགས་ནས་བཀྲེས་པས་གདུངས་པའི་ཡིད་དང༌། རྣམ་པར་མི་རིག་པ་ཅི་ཡང་མི་མངའ་བས་ཡང་དག་པར་རྫོགས་པའི་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམ་པར་གཟིགས་ཀྱིས་སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་ལྷའི་སྤྱན་རྣམ་པར་དག་པ། མིའི་ལས་འདས་པས་ཁྱེའུ་མི་སྡུག་པ་དེ་ལྟར་སྡུག་བསྔལ་བ་གཟིགས་སོ། །གཟིགས་ནས་ཀྱང་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོས་ཡང་དག་པར་བསྐུལ་ཏེ། སྐྱེད་མོས་ཚལ་དེར་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་གྱིས་གཤེགས་ནས་ཉིད་ཀྱི་སྐུ་ལས་འོད་ཟེར་འགྱེད་པར་མཛད་དེ། 当时，商主耳根心想这是什么，便站起身来。他看见世尊圆满正等觉，具足三十二相，犹如名为“法”之身，又如倒入酥油后火焰腾起，又如熔金之色，以及豆蔻、藏红花、勒勃根汁、丁香、巴拉、红莲花、秋季的云彩、孔雀尾羽的光泽、黄金、靛青、朱砂、阿提穆克塔、库兰达卡等光芒围绕着身体。见到之后，商主耳根生起极大的信心，心想我该供养世尊什么呢？他看了看自己的财产，只看到一罐麻油，于是他拿起麻油对妻子说：贤妻，我不能空着手进入我的家。于是他拿着一罐麻油来了，心想：世尊圆满正等觉具足种种相好，是应供的殊胜对境，对卑劣者也心怀慈悲，即使向他布施少许种子，也能彻底拔除贫困的痛苦。我要把这罐麻油供养给世尊吗？他的妻子说：王孙，请这样做吧！仅凭这一点善根，也能在轮回中成为安乐之因。说完之后，商主心想：这罐麻油实在太少了，现在在这座城市里，像我这样卑劣的人，国王、大臣、婆罗门、居士、城市居民和商主们都不会看见，我该如何供养世尊呢？或者用树叶包裹起来供养吧，如果不这样做，他们就会知道的。于是他进入自己破败房屋的一半，想要寻找树叶，却什么也没有找到。之后，商主非常沮丧，心想：唉，像我这样福薄之人真是痛苦啊！

He saw the Bhagavan, the perfectly complete Buddha, adorned with the thirty-two marks, like a body called "Dharma," like a flame rising after pouring ghee, like the color of molten gold, and with cardamom, saffron, lebergantzi, cloves, bala, red lotus, autumn clouds, the luster of peacock feathers, gold, indigo, cinnabar, Atimukta, Kurandaka, and other lights surrounding his body. Having seen this, the merchant Ear-root developed great faith and thought, "What should I offer to the Bhagavan?" He looked at his possessions and saw that he only had a jar of sesame oil. So he took it and said to his wife, "Virtuous wife, I cannot enter my house empty-handed." So he came with a jar of sesame oil, thinking, "The Bhagavan, the perfectly complete Buddha, is a supreme object of offering, and he is compassionate even to the lowly. Even if I plant a small seed of generosity in him, he will completely remove the suffering of poverty. Should I offer this jar of sesame oil to the Bhagavan?" His wife said, "Prince, please do so! Even this small root of virtue will become a cause of happiness in samsara." After she said this, the merchant thought, "This jar of sesame oil is very little. Now, in this city, how can I, such a lowly person, offer it to the Bhagavan without being seen by the king, ministers, Brahmins, householders, city dwellers, and merchants? Or should I wrap it in leaves and offer it? If I don't do that, they will know." So he entered half of his dilapidated house, wanting to look for leaves, but he found nothing. Then, the merchant became very discouraged, thinking, "Alas, such a person with little merit is truly suffering!"
