Thinking that the earth deity was born from this father, he kissed his father's feet with great respect and said, "Father, are you well?" Then he went home with his father. At that time, the lord of the gods, Indra, knew with his divine eye that he would descend, and thought, "This captain Ear-root has made great offerings to the Buddha, the Bhagavan. It is not appropriate for him to live in a grass hut." Then he said to the son of the gods, the Emanation, "Emanation, go and make the house of Captain Ear-root into a square house made of four kinds of jewels." Then, the Emanation spoke with Indra's command. In that instant, he came to the king's palace, Mnyan-ldan, and built it with bricks of four kinds of jewels, supported by pillars. The corridors were tall and beautiful, with windows, gatehouses, and walls decorated with exquisite railings, and beams covered with exquisite planks. A very tall four-cornered house, with a very pleasing stable decorating the vicinity of the gate, like the beautiful clouds of autumn, like a pile of snow, like moonlight, as white as the root of a lotus. Umbrellas, victory banners, and flags were hung, as well as strings of pearls and silk. It became a place that made all the cities beautiful. It was made of glittering gold, decorated with newly emerging Anu ornaments, and eight vases filled with water with eight qualities decorated the vicinity of the gate. Countless silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, coral, ruby, great ruby, and other jewels surrounded it, and it was filled with treasures. He made the best house, filled with jewel ponds and utensils. Then, when Captain Ear-root came home, his wife was happy, satisfied, and joyful, and gave him water in a golden bowl, saying, "Prince, by the power of your merit, someone has built such a best house." Maldan Das generated great faith in the Bhagavan, with his hair standing on end and his palms joined at the crown of his head. He said, "Bhagavan, Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Awakened One, inconceivable wish-fulfilling jewel, unsurpassed field of merit, I prostrate to you." After prostrating, his face radiant and filled with joy, he said, "Emaho! Nature of virtue! Having completely abandoned all faults, where did I sow the seeds? You granted me the fruit. Such a meager offering is completely different from being combined with all that is excellent. Where is the delightful, visible gold, and the house of the nature of jewels? Only the remaining walls are left, my house is one that increases sorrow, what is it that is as white as the moonlight completely separated from the clouds? The holes gnawed by mice and insects, where is the house with windows? The house with windows, with many supreme jewels, where is it? The house filled with anger, covered with thorns, and the vessel filled with impure things, what is it? This house was like that before, it is wonderful that it has accumulated jewels. The old skin abandoned by the snake, what is it that is covered with hanging clothes? The delicate clothes are splendidly adorned, what is the hanging fly-whisk? The pile of bones gathered by the bitch, what is the house spread with white? These fragrant and beautiful flowers, what is it that is adorned with bells? The house that is always moistened by the stream of sorrow and death, what is it? What is it that is sprinkled with fragrant musk and sandalwood water? What is the place that is scorched by flames, and where crows and people dismount from their horses? What is it that is adorned with gold and jewels, the most excellent pearls, with garlands? What is the house that is obscured by the broken grass mat door? What is it that is made of crystal, the door leaf with a latch? What is this house that has been dilapidated for a long time and will not collapse? What is it that is decorated with pillars of the nature of jewels, and with doors? What is the crossroads filled with sounds of lamentation? What is it that is perfectly in harmony with the sound of music and flutes? What was formerly a collection of skulls, and filled with piles of dusters? What is it that is adorned with piles of jewels? Where is it accumulated, what is this?
