What kind of deeds would lead to being born into a wealthy, rich, and prosperous family due to the ripening of that karma, and to be beautiful in appearance, pleasing to the eye, attractive, possessing all limbs and minor limbs, with a complexion of pure gold, extremely radiant, captivating the hearts and eyes of all beings, with the body wrapped in golden-colored clothes, with the fragrance of sandalwood emanating from all limbs, and the fragrance of উৎপ་ལའི་(藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思:乌 উৎপ་ལ,utpala, blue lotus) emanating from the mouth, and as soon as he was born, the house would be showered with clothes and Karnikara flowers, and those clothes would also turn golden in color? In this way, possessing great miraculous powers and strength, having renounced in the teachings of the Bhagavan, having abandoned all defilements, he directly realized the state of an Arhat. The Venerable Ananda said: Great King, what deeds did these kings themselves do and accumulate in other previous lives? Who else would experience separately the deeds done and accumulated by these kings themselves? Great King, the deeds done and accumulated will not ripen in the earth element, nor in the water element, nor in the fire element, nor in the wind element. In this way, the virtuous and non-virtuous deeds done and accumulated will ripen in the aggregates, elements, and sources that are grasped. Even after hundreds of kalpas, karmas will not be lost, and having found the causes and conditions and the time, they will become fruits for embodied beings. Great King, in the past, ninety-one kalpas ago, there appeared in the world a Bhagavan named Vipashyin, a Tathagata, an Arhat, a Perfectly Enlightened Buddha, endowed with knowledge and conduct, a Sugata, a Knower of the World, a Tamer of Beings, an unsurpassed one, a teacher of gods and humans, a Buddha, a Bhagavan. He arose from the royal palace called Dhanavati, and resided in the garden called Dhanavati. Also, at that time, in the royal palace of Dhanavati, there was a merchant leader named Karna, who was wealthy, rich, and prosperous, completely

The dwelling was wide and vast, possessing the wealth of Vaishravana, rivaling Vaishravana in wealth. In the soft place of the king's palace, there lived a supreme person. There, he took a wife from his own clan, and together they played, made her happy, and enjoyed pleasure. Thus playing and enjoying pleasure, his wife became pregnant. Until the navigator Ear-Hearing, surrounded by five hundred merchants, entered the great ocean. As she was born in the womb, among the various wealth belonging to the navigator Ear-Hearing's marketplace, belonging to the fields, and belonging to other places, some were burned by fire, some were stolen by thieves, and some were taken away by people who fled. Soon, the navigator Ear-Hearing's wife gave birth to a son after a full term, with black skin, extremely ugly, and eighteen ugly marks defiled his body. Whoever held his mouth and his body, the people living in the house would turn away in great disgust, and he emitted an extremely unpleasant odor. As soon as the child was born, everything in his house was burned, and such a fire occurred. The navigator's wife pitifully held the child and came out of the house. When the fire burned down the house and all its belongings and then extinguished itself, the navigator's wife entered a half-burned, dilapidated dwelling, spread half of her clothes on the ground, laid the child down, sighed a long sigh of heat, and remembering the navigator, fell into sorrow. Alas, such a perverted and chaotic state is suffering! The male servants, female servants, and laborers of the navigator Ear-Hearing, seeing this disaster, said, 'Everything of ours will be destroyed, now!' They abandoned the navigator's wife in fear and all fled. There, a dispatched girl thought, 'I used to enjoy countless pleasures in the wealthy household of the navigator Ear-Hearing, but now the navigator's wife has fallen into such a state.'

Thinking that it would not be in accordance with my conduct to abandon Rāvaṇa and flee alone, she stayed alone with the wife of the captain with ears. All the property of the captain's wife was burned by fire, and she had nothing to eat for even one day. Then, the maidservant went to the friends and relatives of the captain with ears and said: "O virtuous ones, the wife of the captain with ears is in such a situation, please support and care for her." Then, when they began to support and care for her, their families also suffered hundreds of hardships. They thought, "This son of the captain with ears is very unlucky. By the power of his lack of merit, the extremely vast wealth of the captain with ears' family will be completely destroyed. If we support and save him, our families will also encounter such a situation. In this way, we should not even mention his name in any way." Then they said to the maidservant: "Do not even enter our house after you leave." After the maidservant was rejected in this way, she thought: "Now the captain's wife is completely speechless, what should I do? Otherwise, I have already taken on this burden, and I must make great efforts to support the captain's wife." Then, she went to other people's houses to work as a laborer, and used the wages she earned there to support the captain's wife and the child. That child was very ugly, so he was named Ugly. That maidservant also gained wages every day by the power of her work. Then, she began to support these three very pitiful lives. The captain's wife thought: "I have been completely abandoned by male servants, female servants, hired people, friends, and relatives, and now I can live a little, all because of the merit of this maidservant, so this
