Emaho, venerable Kundgawo, you are the great possessor of merit! Emaho, how vast! Emaho, how pure a field of giving! Just by offering a single garment, one can immediately fulfill one's aspirations. The maiden Kashi Beautiful Joy, the power of woman disappeared, and she obtained the power of man, and became endowed with such a union. Then, those sons of the gods rained down a rain of divine flowers of extremely devout mind, and the divine flowers fell in abundance. Then, the male Kashi Beautiful Joy, by the power of the venerable Kundgawo, became exceedingly pleasing, and seeing the immediately ripened fruit as he desired, he was exceedingly astonished, and great joy arose in the continuum of his mind, and his hairs stood on end, and his body became coarse. He stood up, knelt on both knees, joined his palms, and began to praise the venerable Kundgawo. Who is that helpless me, you give me life. Accumulating extremely pure merit, I prostrate to you, immeasurable and difficult to obtain. Joining his palms, he began to praise the Venerable Ananda: Emaho! How fortunate you are! You are the great teacher. For those who are extremely miserable, You are the protector of beings. Emaho! You are the embodiment of compassion, Emaho! You possess perfect wisdom. Like the Bhagavan, the all-knowing one, You demonstrate the pure and correct Dharma. Likewise, my beloved son, From the great ocean of suffering, Through the power of compassion and wisdom, You have correctly guided him. If from this you would, Consider this, I and my wife, Would long be submerged in the mire of suffering. Great compassionate son! From today onwards, From whose ocean of suffering will you deliver? Completely liberated from the wilderness of sorrow, Freed from the snare of sorrow, Arising from the destruction of sorrow, Liberated from the fear of sorrow's afflictions, Freed from the prison of suffering, Today no longer stained by the mud of sorrow, No longer pierced by the thorns of sorrow, No longer seized by the serpent of sorrow, No longer struck by the arrow of sorrow, No longer severed by the sword of sorrow, No longer found by the enemy of sorrow, No longer devoured by the crocodile of sorrow, No longer burned by the fire of sorrow. You have given beings, Today the ability to breathe, Opened their eyes, And also made their minds content. Whoever has done this, Has made us supremely happy, The name Ananda, Emaho!
