The lamp of this leader sun's lineage has been extinguished! All the joys of this leader sun's lineage have vanished! The crown jewel of this leader sun's lineage has been taken away! The eyes of this leader sun have been taken away! The ornament of this leader sun's lineage has been taken away! The heart of this leader sun has been plucked out! The life of this leader sun has been taken away while still possessing a body! Alas, like wandering in an empty wilderness, surrounded and plucked out, yet no one came to help, how painful! Now, the moon of the city of Rajagriha is seized by the Rahu of the Lord of Death! The sun of the city of Rajagriha sets in the middle of the sky! The nectar of the eyes residing in the city of Rajagriha no longer exists on the path of sight! The stream of joy of the residents of Rajagriha has disappeared! The ornament of the city of Rajagriha has been taken away! The crown jewel of the residents of Rajagriha has been taken away! The delight of the city dwellers residing in the city of Rajagriha has been taken away, so who among the people residing in the city of Rajagriha will not close their eyes and look? Now, what will we see that will bring joy? How disheartening! Minister Rabtum said to another person, 'The young man with the golden body has been taken out of the city.' Hearing this, he became very happy. Then, the messenger of the city dwellers, hearing this, became hopeless. He went and told those city dwellers about those matters in detail. Hearing this, the city dwellers also became hopeless and very discouraged, saying to each other: 'Wise ones, this king of strife has killed the king of Dharma who possesses the Dharma of the father, and now he kills such a person who is known to possess such qualities, a special person who is loved by many, innocent and harmless. Alas, without compassion! Alas, not knowing virtue! Alas, not recognizing differences!'

Ministers, one who is so handsome and possesses such great qualities is worthy of offering. Why do you kill and completely abandon such a special person with such virtues without investigation? Or is it that in this time, those who are not virtuous will increase, and being separated from one who possesses such virtues is the fault of a declining era. Captain Nyima spoke extensively about these matters, and upon hearing them, Captain Nyima became desperate, tormented by intense grief, and collapsed in a swoon. Then, after being revived with water, he was disheartened, devoid of all joy, and began to cry out loudly, "Who is it that is now killing my son!" "Alas! The delight of my eyes, the continuation of my lineage, a blessed father like me, is innocently killed. How foolish is my heart, and now all directions are confused. Separated from you, burned by the fire of sorrow, alas, I myself am about to be burned. Alas! So wise and very gentle, a son who delights in compassion, how did you come to suffer such unbearable pain? When you, my son, arrived, I obtained unparalleled joy, and after being separated from you, I will once again fall into endless sorrow. Ministers of the king who have no compassion and do not distinguish between the wise and the foolish, you powerful ones, why did you kill my son without investigation! Alas, that king, why did he treat him like this without investigation? Abandoning my son is clearly a manifestation of his own lack of compassion. Especially those evil people, their hearts must be sunk, that they innocently kill a son with virtues. Such a person with virtues, being killed and no one caring, could it be that all the gods of the city have fled? Gods who have authority, rule the world, and possess great power, please have compassion and protect my son! Which great sage with accomplished asceticism is still living now? Please, with compassion..."

With love as the guide, I pray for the protection of my son. Furthermore, why does his wisdom arising make me disheartened? One should remember the Bhagavan, the sole friend of all beings, endowed with compassion. The Bhagavan is the protector of the unprotected, the refuge of the refuge-less, the protection of the un-protected, the help of the helpless. Similarly, the Bhagavan has liberated many beings who have fallen into distress from various great fears. For example, merchants in the middle of the great ocean who are frightened by the fear of crocodiles and fish, merely remembering the Bhagavan, can be completely saved from that great fear. Also, like Angulimala, who was fierce and cruel, brandishing weapons, killing many men, and wanting to take his mother's life, the Bhagavan also saved him from that fear. Also, like the yaksha who, due to past grudges, kills hundreds and thousands of beings with strength, the fire of anger blazing fiercely, craving human flesh and bones, saliva dripping from his tongue as he licks, with long and sharp teeth, terrifying, for the sake of food, placing his hand in its mouth, completely saving him from the fear of beings dying in the wilderness. Therefore, Bhagavan, please also completely liberate my son from this great terror! I should remember the Bhagavan, endowed with great compassion, supremely faultless, possessing the nature of peace. Thinking these thoughts, he asked a layperson there: Where does the Bhagavan reside now? The layperson, remembering the Bhagavan, with tears streaming down his face, said with a choked voice: Captain, who will become the captain of the world? Who will give happiness to the world? The sole friend of all beings in the world, the great teacher has passed away. Who will be the light for those without light? Who will be the refuge and help? Like a lamp that has run out of oil, the lamp of the world, the Victorious One has passed away. Upon hearing these words, Captain Nyima, separated from the Bhagavan, was pierced by the sting of twofold sorrow.
