Furthermore, the characteristic of being without investigation and without anything else is included in the second dhyana and so on. What is the reason for saying "why"? The meaning here is: for the time being, even abiding in a virtuous mind, there is no occurrence of downfall, so what need is there to mention entering the first dhyana and so on? Does it occur in that? Let it be said what that is like. This is the meaning. The determination here is this: it is said in that way by making the matter of appointing the construction of a house the authority. Similarly, here the scripture is: Venerable one, by what basis does one who has not entered the first dhyana become the basis for becoming a sanghavasesa, and by that basis, one who has entered the first dhyana become a sanghavasesa? Is that the case? The Blessed One said: It is the case. Like this, when a bhikshu enters the first dhyana, he commands, "Build my house." Having commanded in this way, that one enters the first dhyana, and if the house is completed, it becomes a sanghavasesa. By what basis does one who has not entered the second dhyana and so on become the basis for becoming a sanghavasesa, and by that basis, one who has entered the second dhyana, the third dhyana, and the fourth dhyana and so on become a sanghavasesa? Is that the case? The Blessed One said: It is the case. Like this, when a bhikshu enters the second dhyana, the third dhyana, and the fourth dhyana and so on, he commands, "Build my house." Having commanded in this way, he enters up to the fourth dhyana, and if that one enters up to the fourth dhyana and the house is completed, it becomes a sanghavasesa. Bhikshu, even by an act of wrongdoing, and so on. The word "even" means even smaller. The word "ever" means also. This shows that it never occurs. The word "however" means even so. The meaning of the question here is: in whom, by action, does one become defeated, especially practicing? That is said to be a non-bhikshuni, but there is also no occurrence of downfall from an act of wrongdoing. However, what is said to be a non-bhikshuni, let it be said what that is like. This is the meaning. The determination here is this:

Yes, it was said that way considering the change of gender. Similarly, here the text is: Is it possible that a monk has never committed any offense, even the slightest, but becomes a nun? The Blessed One said: Yes, if the monk changes gender. The nun is "at any time" etc., "at any time" means "absolutely." "Does not do" means negation. The point here is that if common or uncommon defeatist behaviors are excessively practiced, then non-bhikshunis will be established. It is also not the case that bhikshunis excessively practice offenses. However, it will be explained what it means to say "is a bhikshuni." The answer to this is: That was said considering the change of gender. Similarly, here the text is: Is it possible that a bhikshuni has never committed any offense, even the slightest, but becomes a non-bhikshuni? Yes, if the bhikshuni changes gender. "If the monk is not an Arhat" etc., "not an Arhat" means people of various classes other than Arhats. "Not a father" means beings born in the human world other than the father. Similarly, "similarly" should be connected to "how it is said that leading others will cause defeat." The point here is that if a certain monk kills an ordinary monk who is not an Arhat, then he will only be defeated by that. However, it will be explained that he is also said to be defeated and in Avici hell. The answer to this is: That was said based on the change of gender. Here the text is: If a monk kills a monk, and that person is neither a father nor an Arhat, then will he be defeated by that, and will he also be touched by the evil karma of the uninterrupted sin? The Blessed One said: Yes, if the monk has been ordained and fully ordained, then he changes gender, and after changing gender, kills him.

Then one will commit a Pārājika offense, and will also be touched by the karma of an interval. This is its meaning. The meaning of the question here is: The Bhikṣuṇī is not an Arhat. What happens if one kills someone who is not a mother? Please say, will one commit an interval offense and a Pārājika offense? This is also acceptable. Among them, "not an Arhat" means an ordinary person other than an Arhat. "Not a mother" means other sentient beings who are not mothers, born in the human realm. The answer here is: This is said based on the change of gender. Similarly, the scripture here is: Venerable, if a Bhikṣuṇī kills another Bhikṣuṇī, and she is neither a mother nor an Arhat, then, will she commit a Pārājika offense, and will she also be touched by the karma of an interval? The Blessed One replied: Yes. If a Bhikṣuṇī, after ordaining and receiving full ordination, changes her gender and kills someone, then she will also commit a Pārājika offense, and will also be touched by the karma of an interval. Similarly, the author of the Sūtra also said that it is also the case from the two situations of changing gender. Others speak to others, etc. Among them, "others" refers to Bhikṣus, etc. "Speak" refers to saying. "To others" refers to a certain Bhikṣu whom one wants to speak to. "Quickly" refers to being agile. The meaning here is that if the five categories of offenses are each related to one's own language, but if others have spoken, and these things happen to the Bhikṣu, then it should be said what is going on. The answer here is: This is said based on the situation of speaking about karma, etc. Venerable, if others have spoken, and because of what he said, it causes others to commit a Pārājika offense, what will happen? The Blessed One replied: Yes. For example, if a Bhikṣuṇī knows that the Bhikṣu Saṃgha has unanimously expelled a certain Bhikṣu, but still follows him, and even after being admonished three times in the Saṃgha, does not leave, then she will commit a Pārājika offense. Venerable, others have spoken, because of what he
